Taking a ferry is the most convenient way to explore Lake Como. Being here feels like stepping into a paradise, like a fairyland - it's truly breathtakingly beautiful. Instead of driving, we took ferries between the towns, which gave us amazing views of the colorful villages along the lake. We loved strolling through the peaceful streets, stopping for lunch and dinner at cozy Italian restaurants, and of course, enjoying plenty of gelato. The whole experience was just magical and the perfect escape for couples.

#italytrip While many might be tempted to stay by the lake, I wanted to recommend this hidden gem just a few minutes away from the city centre! ⛰️Reason 1: You get a whole different perspective - the hotel is located on top of a mountain, which means you get a unique bird eye view of the beautiful town by the lake! We find this to be the best view we have had on our trip to Lake Como! 🚙 Reason 2: You get to avoid the crowds for your stay and it is actually very convenient to get to the busy area to check out the city too when you feel like it! The hotel has a shuttle that take you to the city centre and back, the whole journey cost 5 Euro and 10 minutes, and the hotel is able to organise shuttle services for you very efficiently! 💵 Reason 3: Great value for money and thoughtful hotel services - living slightly outside of the tourist hotspots also mesns you get more value as the staffs are more able to take good care of you due to lower crowd plus the rate is really good for what you get! #lakes Spending a day at Lake Como this summer was like stepping into a postcard! The lake’s beauty is truly something you have to see to believe. We started our day in the charming town of Bellagio, often called the “Pearl of Lake Como.” The ferry ride to Bellagio cost about €10, and the views from the water were breathtaking, with the Alps in the background and elegant villas lining the shores. Once in Bellagio, we wandered through the narrow cobblestone streets, filled with boutiques and cafes. We visited the stunning Villa Melzi Gardens, where the entrance fee was €6. The gardens were incredibly peaceful, with lush greenery and statues overlooking the lake. Afterward, we enjoyed a leisurely lunch at a lakeside restaurant, savoring the local cuisine while soaking in the view. The day ended with a relaxing walk along the lakefront, watching the sunset over the water. First time around Lake Como and I completely fell in love! We stayed at the Palace Hotel at Lake Como and it was one of the best places I’ve ever stayed at. The interior is beautiful just like it’s name and the breakfast spread is scrumptious 😋 The ferry dock is right across the doors of the hotel, which was extra convenient for our day trip around the towns. We took the slow ferry ride and sat outside despite the cold. But the views of other towns and even the alps and mountains were breathtaking. Headed to the very beautiful very scenic Bellagio - where we climbed up the steps and had a hearty meal at Nando. Afterwards took a quick ride to Varenna to catch the sunset. Absolutely wonderful! Picasso Restaurant is a Michelin-starred French Fine Dining Restaurant located in the Bellagio Las Vegas. I absolutely loved the ambience and decor of this establishment. The menu, plates, and napkins had artwork from the famous artist, Pablo Picasso. The colors of the furniture were vibrant yet warm. I liked how the waiter’s ties also matched the orange color of the napkins and chairs. The main dining room had French flair. It reminded me of a patio restaurant I’ve seen in Paris. And the outdoor terrace of Picasso overlooked the famous Bellagio Fountains. There were two prix fixe menus to choose from. A 4-course menu and a 5-course menu. I chose the 4-course menu. The 4-course prix fixe menu included: Amuse Bouche 1st course: Lobster Bisque 2nd: Warm Quail Salad 3rd: Veal Chop 4th: Meyer Lemon Cake 2 bonus desserts Although the menu is pricey, $155 per person, I highly recommend reservations here. The service was superb! My waiter’s knowledge of the restaurant’s history and the menu was unmatched. He created a memorable experience I’ll never forget! The food was excellent! It was filling, delicious, and I savored every bite. When you walk into The Venetian in Las Vegas, You feel like you’re in Europe! The sky ceilings of the hotel makes it feel like you’re outdoors in the middle of Italy. I bought a cup of Gelato 🍧 to really feel immersed in the scenery and atmosphere around me. I also visited the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas and they really outdid themselves for Lunar New Years. They decorated their whole garden with lots of plants, Tigers 🐅 to portray and signify the Year of the Tiger, and Chinese architecture.
