Chongqing Pengshui|Niche Attractions · Chiyou Jiuli City
Chiyou Jiuli City is located in Pengshui District, Chongqing. It is one of the largest Miao settlements in China. It is a very special niche attraction in Chongqing. It is unexpectedly magnificent and the architecture is very unique. I highly recommend you to go there👍
The scenic area starts from the entrance of the Yiyi Gate and goes up layer by layer☝️. You will first pass through the nine gates with the most gates in the world, representing the nine branches of the Miao people. Each gate has a special meaning. Then we will visit Jiuli Palace, which is the largest stilt building and courtyard in the world. There are very delicate carvings when you look at it from a close distance, and the various mortise and tenon joints are very impressive❤️
We will come to the Cultural Square after taking photos. You can see Miao dance performances at fixed times. We also had a Miao meal here at noon, which is similar to a long table banquet. It is very interesting😁
I heard that there are lights after 6 o'clock in the evening💡, which is very beautiful. If time permits, maybe enter the park at 3 or 4 o'clock and stay until the evening, which is more worth the ticket price!

A good place to experience the Miao culture: Guizhou Langde Shangzhai
#2024Travel Review
Entering the Miao Village #LangdeShangzhai, also known as #Shanglangde Village, is the first Miao open-air museum in Guizhou and is known as the hometown of Chinese folk art. It is surrounded by green mountains and clear water. If you want to experience the most local Miao culture, come to Langde Shangzhai!
Langde Shangzhai was built at the end of the Yuan Dynasty and the beginning of the Ming Dynasty. Most of the buildings are wooden structures with railings, three rooms wide and three floors above and below. There is a gong and drum terrace in the village, which serves as a public place and is now mostly used for performances. Outside the village, there are A wind and rain bridge was built as a means of communication with external parties. The entire village is isolated from the world and quite quiet.
Miao Village has a long history, and the local Miao culture still retains its traditional, ancient, and original connotations, which is worth a visit.
