Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew 🇬🇧
#londontrip
During my summer vacation in London, I spent a day at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, located in Richmond upon Thames. The entrance fee is £17.50 for adults, but it’s well worth every penny! 🌿✨
Kew Gardens is a sprawling paradise for plant lovers and nature enthusiasts. I started my visit at the Palm House, a stunning Victorian glasshouse filled with tropical plants. The humid, lush environment felt like a mini escape to the rainforest. 🌴🌺
Next, I wandered through the Temperate House, the largest Victorian glasshouse in the world, showcasing plants from Africa, Australia, and the Pacific Islands. The sheer variety and beauty of the plants were breathtaking. 🌍🌿
One of my favorite spots was the Treetop Walkway, where I got a bird’s-eye view of the gardens from 18 meters above the ground. The views were incredible, especially on a clear day. 🍃👀
The Japanese Landscape, with its tranquil Chokushi-Mon (Gateway of the Imperial Messenger), was a serene highlight, providing a perfect spot to relax and take in the beauty. 🌸🗾
Don't miss the Princess of Wales Conservatory, which features 10 different climate zones under one roof. The desert plants and the waterlily house were particularly fascinating. 🌵💧
After exploring, I had a lovely picnic by the lake, surrounded by the beauty of nature. The gardens are also home to Kew Palace and the Great Pagoda, both worth a visit if you have time. 🏰🎋
Overall, Kew Gardens is an enchanting place to spend a summer day, offering a mix of relaxation, education, and breathtaking beauty. Highly recommend! #KewGardens #LondonNature #BotanicGardens #SummerInLondon #NatureLovers
