📍 Railay Krabi Secret Cave ⛰️Unseen in Railay Krabi No sign, no guide, super exciting, the path is steep and dangerous, but very beautiful. For those who dare to go, I recommend going. The view is amazing! 🗺️ How to get there • Walk towards Phra Nang Cave Beach. When you reach the sea, Phra Nang Cave will be on the left. Then turn right and walk to the end. • When you see green bushes, walk in. Under the bushes and trees. • You will find a steep path up, but there is a rope to help you go up. Hold on tight. Don't fall, lol. • When you go up, look left and you will see the entrance to the cave. Walk straight. • When you see the stairs, climb up. You have to be brave. My legs are shaking, lol. • When you go up, you will see an open cave. Turn right and you will see a round hole. Go through that hole and you will see the Railay sea view. ⚡️Recommended clothes are tight and not afraid of getting dirty because I wore sneakers. But I wore flip-flops and took off my shoes. It’s much more smaller that Aonang beach but you can get much more of the nature views. Look for Railay Rock Climbing to try out rock climbing in Railay beach. It’s perfect for beginners as the coach is very encouraging and experienced, he would give a step-by-step instructions and trust me, you would be hooked ! There are 3 routes for you to try on. Another good point is that this rock climbing school would bring you to the cave that has an amazing bird eye view of the whole beach. Although the climb is quite challenging but it’s totally worth it ! Not forget to mention, the coach is also a professional photographer as he would tell you how to pose, what to look out for so solo travellers would get nice pictures too! Railay beach is one of the most beautiful island located in the Krabi province in Southern Thailand. -Getting there- If you staying at Ao Nang area you can easily walk to their national park but if you staying at Klong Muang area you have to rent a bike (200-250 bhat) because the distance from Klong Muang to Ao Nang beach is about 8km. But if you booked a package from the tour agent you don’t have to worry about the transportation because they will pick you up from your hotel. You can go there by speed boat or long tail boat. #getgoing2025 #railaybeach #krabi During a lazy afternoon stroll on Railay Beach, I stumbled upon an unexpected visitor—a massive water monitor lizard basking in the sun! 🏝️ The sandy spot near the mangroves seemed to be his private relaxation area, and honestly, I was lucky to spot him. At first, I almost mistook him for a log, but then he moved, and I quickly realized I’d encountered one of Thailand’s iconic reptiles. These fascinating creatures can grow up to 3 meters (10 feet) long, and this guy was not there yet though. Water monitors are known for their powerful legs, long tails, and forked tongues, which they flick out to smell their surroundings. 🐾 They are excellent swimmers, too, using their tails to glide through water like pros. I was even luckier to catch him on video just as he decided to leave his sunbathing spot and saunter back toward the nearby mangroves. 🌿 Watching him move was like watching a miniature dinosaur in action—graceful yet commanding. While they may look intimidating, water monitors are generally shy and prefer to avoid humans. This surprise encounter reminded me how amazing nature can be, even when you’re just out for a walk on the beach! 🌞🎥
