Super popular 🔥|The Folk Palace Museum·Wang Family Courtyard
Wang Family Courtyard is considered a first-class tourism zone in Shanxi. With a history of more than 700 years, it is known as the Folk Forbidden City. Most people may be more familiar with Qiao Family Courtyard, which has been filmed in a TV series, but in terms of the scale and visibility of the ancient monuments, this is definitely the first choice. The scenic spot is located in Lingshi, more than two hours away from Taiyuan. It is usually a very popular attraction, and it is even more crowded during the long holidays. For convenience, you can directly sign up for a one-day tour.
The Wang family surname originated from Shanxi, and there are two highlights of the Wang Family Courtyard: one is the private residences of the first and second rooms that you can see directly after entering the east gate, which has a "three-courtyard" structure. The other is a large residential settlement that accommodates seven or eight hundred households. It is surrounded by city walls. Walking along the city wall, you can overlook the entire Wang Family Courtyard, which is very impressive.

May Day Walking and Dancing in Xinzhou Ancient City|Intangible Cultural Heritage Performance·Iron Flower Making
Making iron flowers is an ancient Chinese folk art and has now been listed as a national intangible cultural heritage. I seem to have seen it in the TV series Story of Yanxi Palace. As the name suggests, it is to knock the hot molten iron into the air, creating an effect like fireworks 🎆❤️
We were very lucky on this trip. The iron flower show, which was often suspended due to weather conditions, was still performed as usual. The last three performers who made iron flowers with bare arms were very impressive. After watching these performances, I really feel that many ancient skills really need to be protected and preserved by the country, otherwise it would be a pity❤️
The whole performance is only 30 minutes, but I still highly recommend everyone to watch it, it's great👍
🎯Tang-style Jin-style iron flower
South Third Lane, Guangming Street, Xinzhou Ancient City
The show starts at 20:00. It may not be performed every day depending on the weather. The limited time special price is 39.9 yuan

The final puzzle of China's three major grottoes - Yungang Grottoes
The Yungang Grottoes are so famous that I don’t need to introduce them to you. I am happy that after this visit, I have completed the Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes, Luoyang Longmen Grottoes, and Datong Yungang Grottoes.
The final puzzle of China's three major grottoes - Yungang Grottoes
There are a total of 45 large and small caves in Yungang, which were built during the Northern Wei Dynasty, 500 years later than Mogao Grottoes but earlier than Longmen Grottoes. Currently, Caves 1 to 20 are open to the public, and the most famous Caves 5 and 6 are selected for opening each year. The tour guide said we were lucky, the sixth cave opened this year is more beautiful than the fifth cave 👍
However, the most famous one now is the internet-famous Grotto 19, where you can take a high-five with the Bodhisattva, or ask Him some funny questions to make a kuso picture. There are also 20 caves with Bodhisattvas’ side faces, which are super beautiful when the light and shadow are right. Highly recommended!

Follow the Black Wukong myth to travel to Shanxi | Always thinking about the Hanging Temple
The Hanging Temple has always been on the travel list and was also the filming location for last year’s hit Black Myth: Wukong. The small temple built on the mountain wall has been here for 1,500 years. There is a daily limit on the number of visitors. In addition to the scenic spot ticket, you need to buy a 100 yuan boarding ticket if you want to climb to the top. You also need to reserve more than an hour of queuing time.
Only when I stepped onto the slightly flimsy wooden stairs did I realize that I was a little afraid of heights. As I walked along the route, I truly admired the architectural wisdom of the ancients. It turns out that the slender wooden poles under the building are just for decoration and to relieve psychological fear. The only thing that supports the stability of the entire building is a few wooden foundations embedded in the mountain wall.
Another thing worth seeing is Li Bai's calligraphy "湛" (Gorgeous). There are several explanations for the extra dot in the word "壮". One is that Li Bai accidentally added it when he was drunk, and the other is that it was too spectacular to describe, so he simply added a dot to indicate that it was more spectacular than 湛. Haha

May Day Adventure | Guangwu Great Wall: An Unexpected Surprise!
Located in the suburbs near Suzhou, the Guangwu Great Wall was built during the Ming Dynasty. Unlike the more famous sections near Beijing, such as Mutianyu and Badaling, this wild Great Wall is less crowded and offers a unique sense of solitude. Despite its lesser-known reputation, it provides delightful surprises and the feeling of having the place all to yourself is truly wonderful ❤️
The hiking trail is not too challenging. Walking to the beacon tower and back takes about an hour and a half. The journey starts with a man-made staircase and transitions to a dirt path upon reaching the Moon Peak. If time permits, climbing up to the beacon tower is highly recommended for a panoramic view. The unobstructed 360-degree scenery is absolutely stunning and unforgettable 👍
Walking in Wutai Mountain during the May Day holiday|Dazhi Road paved with 1,080 steps
Mount Wutai, as the first of the four famous Buddhist mountains in China, is the place of practice for Manjusri Bodhisattva. The town is dotted with "Big Manjusri Halls" of all sizes. The most popular one is definitely the Five Directions Manjusri Hall located at "Dailuo Peak". It enshrines the Dharmakaya invited from the five peaks of Mount Wutai. Coming to Dailuo Peak is equivalent to climbing all five peaks. It is called "Small Chaotai" and is very auspicious❤️
But it is not so easy to reach the top. You have to start from Dazhi Road at the foot of the mountain and climb 1,080 steps to reach the top. It is really very breathless. There are many devout believers along the way who kneel every three steps and step up every nine steps. 👍
As soon as you climb up to Dailuoding, you will feel suddenly enlightened, and the view overlooking the entire Taihuai Town will make you feel very happy. I highly recommend everyone to come and take a look if you have the chance!

Chengdu Surroundings | Accidentally arrived at another planet · Moshi Park
As the May Day holiday approaches, a round-trip ticket to any destination costs 3,400 yuan. I regret forgetting to make travel plans in advance! Hey~ Are you talking about me?
No need to regret it! After reading this guide, take my recommendation: Chengdu surrounding tour-take a trip to the mysterious western Sichuan, and you can accidentally travel to another planet.
🗓 Itinerary:
DAY1 Chengdu·Sichuan - Tagong Grassland - Moshi Park Scenic Area
DAY2 Xinduqiao - Muya Holy Land Scenic Area - Chengdu·Sichuan
🏨 Accommodation: Daofu Guilai·Moshi Linka B&B
The B&B is super beautiful and very unique. The last picture was taken at the B&B~ It is very close to Moshi Park Scenic Area. When you are tired, go back to the room to rest! Note that it is best not to take a shower or wash your hair to prevent altitude sickness😪
[CarFront] Transportation strategy: 5 hours of self-driving from downtown Chengdu or a 2-day and 1-night tour with a group tour for about 300 yuan~
🌟Highlights: Near Moshi Park, the mountains and rocks are towering, changing and magnificent; entering Moshi Park, the world is like a foreign land, only the starry sky remains the same.
I have seen photos posted by other bloggers before. On sunny days, the sun shines on the ink-like stone forest, which has a natural high-end feel and is very photogenic. It snowed on the day I went, and the white snow and ink stones were another feeling. In short, it looks good no matter how you take pictures!
📝Precautions: At an altitude of about 3,400 meters, you must walk slowly, avoid running and jumping, and don’t get too excited when you see the beautiful scenery [Facepalm] Otherwise, you will be like me, breathing oxygen and posing at the end (painful lesson [Shhh])
