What a beautiful, peaceful place to stay at in Ubud! I would come back here in a heartbeat and stay for longer than we did. While it’s not the most luxurious, exclusive villas you can find in Bali, it is absolutely a fantastic steal for a private villa and in a convenient location. The entrance is on the main street but the minute you step in, you are surrounded by rice fields and serenity. The villas are traditional Javanese Joglo style. There are three types of villas—the garden villa, the one-bedroom private pool and for bigger groups or families, the 2-bedroom private pool villa. We stayed in the one-bedroom private pool villa because we wanted to indulge ourselves with a private pool and a floating breakfast on one of the mornings. However, for those staying in the garden villas, there is a big, beautiful communal pool that you can use. Our room came fully equipped with everything we needed, even with welcome fruit prepared. Bathroom is also spacious and equipped with both a separate shower and bathtub. The only problem we had with our room was that our shower wasn’t working properly on our first day; however, they came immediately to service it upon our request. The staff was fantastic and provided great service. They were welcoming and helpful. The hotel has motorbikes for rent which was convenient for us, as we didn’t have to go look for it ourselves. The center of Ubud is about a 15-20 minute ride, but it is closer to certain areas like the river for ATV rides or whitewater rafting, it is only 5-10 minutes away by bike. The hotel restaurant is located in front of rice paddy view with very peaceful atmosphere of Ubud. They offer a mix of traditional and modern Indonesian cuisine. We mainly only had breakfast at the restaurant. It is simple and modest but this is what I found most accommodations in Bali to offer.
