There are many amazing spots in Uluwatu but my favorite is the Uluwatu temple. It is one of the most beautiful places to go for sunset. The walk takes you along steep cliffs and right next to the temple. As the sun goes down, on certain nights they have live entertainment that takes place in a sort of area where people gather to watch the festivities. During the rainy season, the flowers are in full bloom which adds a ton of color to the surrounding area. Three must do things in Oahu. 1- Surf at Waikiki Beach. This is a great spot for beginners to learn to surf. The waves are gentle and make it easy to learn how to stand up on your board. It’s also a great place to watch the sunset. 2- Hike Diamond Head. Diamond Head is an extinct volcanic crater with some of the best views of the island. It’s a reality rly easy hike which can take around 1-2 hours, depending on how many times you stop to take photos. 3- Walking around Lanikai Beach. This is one of the most breathtaking beaches I’ve seen. Directly in front of the beach is a small island that you are able to be boated out to. We traveled to Faro for a maternity session. It was out of season but still glorious. We managed to visit the Palace of Estoi and several beaches/cliff tops, all with amazing landscapes and views. The palace grounds were beautiful, you did have to pay to get into the actual palace which is now a hotel but you could access some of the gardens and grounds for free. Asakusa is much more than a tourist spot. When you go deeper into the lanes and small streets, there are many old shops and neighborhood stores. It's a very interesting place. The main street is crammed with tourists and fun to see once, but that's about it.
