A 5-star experience indeed. Mactan isn't known for its beautiful beaches but this resort managed to make it look so beautiful. Full of sceneries such as their famous infinity pool and lots of spots to chill to avoid congestion. At night you can go to their beachfront bar with lots of drinks to choose from. That probably was my favorite spot. Service was also great, people were kind and friendly. Food waa not great tho, there was nothing special about it, not even the serving size. Perhaps they can improve on that. Lawang Sewu, literally Thousand Doors, is a landmark in Semarang, Central Java, Indonesia, built as the headquarters of the Dutch East Indies Railway Company. Several years ago, Lawang Sewu was known as a spooky and haunted place, so tourists tend to still view the rooms in this place as a mystical place. However, thanks to the management of the government and PT KAI, Lawang Sewu's face has become more magnificent without reducing the historical value of every corner. Currently Lawang Sewu is used as a historical tourist spot and a charming photo spot. The building is used as a museum to present a collection of railway history in Indonesia. The corner that most attracts tourists is the basement which is said to be a place of torture and dungeons during the colonial period. But there are many more options available on the main road. There are also banks nearby which was great for liquidity. The non-reception staff in particular were outstanding.
