The Tom Yum soup flavor was very prominent—tangy and spicy, making it incredibly appetizing. The seafood was fresh, featuring shrimp, squid, mussels, and more, with generous portions. The spaghetti was cooked al dente, giving it a chewy texture, and it absorbed all the essence of the Tom Yum soup base, making it irresistibly flavorful. Next, the Hamburger Steak All-Day Breakfast was also impressive. The hamburger steak was thick and juicy. The sides were quite comprehensive, including fried eggs, French toast, smoked salmon, sausages, and more. The French toast had a buttery aroma and tasted great with syrup 😋. We ordered pomelo & smoked duck breast salad, crispy roasted pork belly, blue crab & betel leaves curry, five spices egg & pork belly stew, and for dessert, pumpkin & coconut crème brûlée. The pomelo salad and the blue crab curry were absolutely outstanding — bright, flavorful, and beautifully balanced. The dessert was also good. The rest of the dishes, while decent, didn’t quite hit the same memorable mark. The real letdown was the service. For the price point and Michelin recognition, I expected polished, attentive hospitality. Instead, we found ourselves topping up our own water — in full view of the servers — with zero response. No one offered to clear the table before dessert until we asked. When dessert plates were placed, it was done with a slight bang, no eye contact, and no smile. The server even looked away the entire time. If this was a casual spot, I wouldn’t have minded. But with Plu’s positioning, I expected full-service finesse to match the food quality.
