Snow Peaks & Crystal Lakes: Bipenggou
Bipenggou National Park is an AAAA-rated park, about 220 kilometers from Chengdu. It is a park with snow-capped mountains, lakes, waterfalls, and changing leaves.
Getting there:
We booked a tour with a Chinese guide from Chengdu to Bipenggou.
Entrance fee:
130 yuan, including bus, and an additional 60 yuan for a round trip by electric train.
Sightseeing in the park:
After buying a ticket, take the bus.
- Point 1: Dragon King Lake. The bus will stop at this point for us to take pictures. There is a waterfall and a lake at this point. Then, we walk to the bus stop to continue to Point 2.
- Point 2: Shanghaizi. The bus stops here and changes to a small EV. Here, you can stop to use the restroom and eat. If you haven't bought an electric car yet, there is a vending machine here as well.
- Point 3: After getting on the EV for a while, the bus will take you to Panyang Lake. The view at this point is very beautiful. There are trees changing colors around the lake. Look up and see the snowy mountains reflecting on the water surface. There is a beautiful waterfall, suitable for taking pictures.
- Point 4 Yanziyan At this point, we will be very close to the snowy mountains. The mountains will look much larger than the previous points. Those who have time left can walk through the pine forest or walk around to see the view.
Recommendations
- Come during the autumn season, around October, you will see the view of the snowy mountains, colorful trees, red, yellow, waterfalls, clear lakes, very beautiful.
- Come to the park early in the morning to see the snowflakes sticking to the trees before being melted by the sun in the morning.
- If anyone is allergic to altitude sickness, bring alcohol with you.
