Why its called The Forbidden City?
Why The Forbidden City in Beijing, China, called "forbidden" ? Because access to the complex was strictly restricted during its time as the imperial palace.
-The Forbidden City was the imperial palace for 24 emperors during the Ming and Qing dynasties (1420–1912). It served as the political and ceremonial center of the Chinese government and was off-limits to ordinary people. Only the emperor, his family, officials, and servants were allowed entry, making it a "forbidden" place for the general public.
-The name reflects the emperor's supreme authority and the sacred nature of the palace. It was considered the center of the world and the earthly counterpart to the celestial realm, emphasizing the emperor's divine right to rule.
-The Forbidden City was surrounded by high walls and a moat, further isolating it from the outside world. Its layout and design were meant to convey power, mystery, and exclusivity.
The Chinese name for the Forbidden City, 紫禁城 (Zǐjìnchéng), translates to "Purple Forbidden City." The "purple" refers to the North Star (Polaris), which in Chinese cosmology was considered the celestial home of the emperor, symbolizing his central and unchanging role in the universe. The term "forbidden" underscores the restricted nature of the site, reserved solely for the imperial court. Today, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and open to the public as the Palace Museum.
3 places inside the Forbidden City need tickets to access ;
-General Ticket Admission 40 yuan for low season, 60 yuan for high season.
-the Treasure Gallery 10 yuan
-the Gallery of Clocks 10 yuan
For foreigners, book using your passport number. No ticket has been issued, bring your passport for entry.
There are four types of tickets for all nationalities: standard ticket/ Senior Citizen (60yo and older) / Student Ticket (7-17), Children (6 and below is Free, but you still need to register)
Have a pleasant experience in the Forbidden City!

The Kyoto Imperial Palace (京都御所, Kyōto Gosho)
Let's walk together to great The Kyoto Imperial Palace (京都御所, Kyōto Gosho). it was a rainy day but the views were incredible
The Kyoto Imperial Palace (京都御所, Kyōto Gosho) used to be the residence of Japan's Imperial Family until 1868, when the emperor and capital were moved from Kyoto to Tokyo. It is located in the spacious Kyoto Imperial Park (京都御苑, Kyōto Gyoen), an attractive park in the center of the city that also encompasses the Sento Imperial Palace, which served retired emperors, and a few other attractions.
The current Imperial Palace was reconstructed in 1855 after it had burnt down and moved around town repeatedly over the centuries. The complex is enclosed by long walls and consists of several gates, halls and gardens. The enthronement ceremonies of Emperors Taisho and Showa were still held in the palace's main hall. Tokyo Imperial Palace is now used for enthronement ceremonies.
Formerly only accessible on guided tours that required advance reservations, the palace grounds can now be entered and explored without joining a tour and without any prior arrangements (although tours in English are still available). Visitors can see the palace buildings and gardens, but note that none of the buildings can be entered.

Tokyo Imperial Palace East Gardens: A Timeless Oasis in the Heart of Modernity
Stepping into the Tokyo Imperial Palace East Gardens is like entering a serene oasis amidst the bustling cityscape of Tokyo. The vast expanse of greenery, dotted with historical buildings, offers a tranquil escape from the urban jungle.
The gardens are a blend of nature and history, with meticulously maintained landscapes and ancient structures that transport you to a bygone era. The koi ponds add a touch of serenity, their vibrant colors contrasting beautifully with the lush surroundings.
Walking through the gardens was a bit challenging in the heat of September, but the beauty of the place made it worth every step.
The ruins of Edo Castle in these gardens are known for Japan’s largest Tenshudai Base, Fujimi Yagura (tower mainly built in the corners of the castle for observation and defense), and stone walls.
The exposition features models of iconic buildings like the Edo Castle's keep, providing a glimpse into Japan's rich architectural heritage.
What makes this place truly unique is its location—right in the heart of Tokyo, surrounded by towering skyscrapers. It's a historic landmark nestled amidst modernity, a perfect mix of old and new. The contrast is striking and adds to the overall charm of the gardens.
If you're in Tokyo, don't miss out on this gem. It's a must-visit for anyone looking to experience the city's rich history and natural beauty. 🍃🏯 #Tokyo #ImperialPalace #historicallandmarks #japan

Kien Trung Palace is located in Hue. It is a large area divided into 3 floors. In the royal palace, there are walkways on both sides with a roof covering. The inner side is open. The outer side has folding doors that can be opened all the way.
The inner palace is painted in mustard yellow, contrasting with the red of the windows. The beauty is enhanced by ceramic tiles arranged in various patterns. Be amazed by the craftsmanship.
The entrance fee is 200,000 VND, but it is definitely worth a visit.
🍁Hibiya Park

It is a large public park with many zones to enjoy in every season. In the fall, it is especially beautiful because there are changing leaves for us to see. The atmosphere inside is very good, peaceful, shady, with beautiful natural views. It is a comfortable place, suitable for relaxing, walking, taking pictures, or having a picnic on the benches in the park. Get To Know More About Nguyen Dynasty🇻🇳
#danangtrip
This time explore Hue City, you can going to Hue City by bus/car from Danang City, it takes about 2hours of driving. I visited the historical building and the famous attraction in Hue City: Hue Imperial Citadel.
The Imperial City of Hue was actually a walled fortress and palace belonged to the ancient city of Hue which was a capital city of the Nguyen Dynasty for 140 years date back from 1805 until 1945.
You can find the history of Vietnam especially about Nguyen Dynasty in this place. What i like the most about this place is theis insta-worthy building and the palace is modelled after the Forbidden City in Beijing. I highly recommend you to visit this place, and don’t forget to spent min 2hrs here (cz the area is so huge).
Entrance Fee: VND 200.000

Fall view of Imperial palace
#fallingseason
The imperial palace is located in Chiyoda city, Tokyo and is within walking distance of Otemachi station. This palace, which dates back to the 14th century, was opened to public visits in 1968.
It contains many gardens and castle ruins. It is a place that gives you peace with both its nature and history inside of the world's most crowded city. I went in autumn and explored this place by walking for 2-3 hours in slightly cold weather.
Admission is free. You can check in between 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Check-in hours vary depending on the season.

My favorite experience in Kyoto
Japan, Kyoto Imperial Palace Garden
The palace was the residence of the Japanese emperors for over 500 years until 1869 when the capital moved to Tokyo.
There is no need for a guide since there s#kyoto is a very informative brochure given out in several languages. No one can enter any of the buildings.
The gardens would be stunning in the spring with the cherry blossoms but were beautiful with the unique.
Highly disappointing, as you get to see no part of the interior of the Palace, and there are many nicer buildings and gardens in Kyoto compared to this.
Took the free English tour which was crowded (50+), and whilst the guide did his utmost to make it sound interesting, we found it a massive let-down.
If you’re looking at going, suggest you choose the Nijo Castle in Kyoto which is unbelievable and you can see the history of a 400 year old building as opposed to a “reconstructed” Palace.#kyoto #Nijo #imperialpalace
Imperial Palace 🇯🇵

Visiting the Imperial Palace in Tokyo was a highlight of my spring vacation! Located in the heart of the city, this historic site offers a glimpse into Japan's rich cultural heritage. 🏯 The entrance to the palace grounds is free, making it accessible to all. However, guided tours of the inner palace grounds are available by reservation, providing a deeper insight into the imperial family's residence and the surrounding gardens. 🌸 Walking around the vast grounds, I was captivated by the beautiful gardens, tranquil ponds, and majestic architecture. Nearby attractions include the scenic East Gardens of the Imperial Palace, which are open to the public and offer panoramic views of the city skyline. After exploring the palace, be sure to stroll through the nearby neighborhoods of Marunouchi and Ginza for shopping and dining experiences. Don't miss the chance to immerse yourself in Japan's imperial history and natural beauty! #ImperialPalace #Tokyo #Japan #History #Culture 🇯🇵🏰🌿
