Chanyeonggung and Changdeokgung Palace, Seoul
#Changdeokgung #changgyeonggung #Palace #travel #seoul #south_korea Changyeonggung and Changdeokgung Palace, the entry fee was only 1,000 won for Changyeonggung which is pretty cheap and 3,000 won for Changdeokgung still cheap. It's honestly really nice I felt like I left seoul and went into an actual estate surrounded with nature and lakes and trees. There's a botanical garden in there that houses many different flowers and plants. I enjoyed my time there. 10/10.

🕌🌊 Topkapi Palace: A Glimpse into Ottoman Grandeur
#summervacay
The Topkapi Palace, also known as the Old Palace, truly stands as a monumental testament to the Ottoman Empire! Perched majestically on a hilltop, it offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Bosphorus Strait. This strategic location, surrounded by the sea on three sides, allows the palace to directly overlook the strait – a brilliant choice for both defense and aesthetics.
Spanning a vast area of approximately 700,000 square meters, the palace resembles a formidable rectangular fortress, encircled by a imposing 5-kilometer wall. If you view Topkapi Palace from the new city, across the Golden Horn, you'll immediately grasp the genius of its chosen site – it's both easy to defend and difficult to attack.
With its seven grand gates and four sprawling courtyards, exploring Topkapi Palace gave me a feeling remarkably similar to visiting Beijing's Forbidden City. There's a shared sense of imperial scale, intricate design, and historical depth that truly makes them kindred spirits across continents.

A Glimpse into the Royalty of Jaipur 👑
#aprilblooms
One of the highlights of my India trip was definitely the City Palace of Jaipur. It is an incredible palace complex, where, in fact, the royalty still lives today - yes, for an additional fee you can see their private quarters as well!
The impressive doorways, the signature pink and beautiful pieces of history took my breath away. There is a gallery/souvenir shop on site (however, quite expensive). The entrance fee is very affordable, and they offer combo tickets with other attractions in the city.

One can wander through its tunnels and rooms, overlooking the hustle and bustle of the street markets without being seen from the outside. It was built for the royalty with the purpose so that they cannot be seen.

A Palatial Art Museum
If you want to skip the crowds at the Ben Youssef Madrasa or the Bahia Palace, then the Dar El Bacha Museum is for you! I actually spent more time here than at the Ben Yusuf Marissa and in my opinion it’s equally as beautiful but with a lot less crowds, the entry price is a little cheaper too. It was originally a governors Palace and the governor built it in a way that would rival the other beautiful buildings in the city so it’s not as old but it is stunningly beautiful. It also houses some really interesting artefacts from the 18th to 20th centuries.
