Surrounded by dense jungle and vibrant greenery, the waterfall feels like nature’s well-kept secret, offering a peaceful escape from the bustling world. The crystal-clear water cascades down from a great height, creating a mesmerizing dance of mist and light. As I stood there, mesmerized by its beauty, I couldn’t help but feel deeply connected to the natural world around me. The trek to the waterfall is an adventure in itself, with pathways that cut through lush forests and vibrant flora. Along the way, i spotted a rich variety of local plants and wildlife, each playing a vital role in maintaining the delicate balance of this ecosystem. Most of all, this waterfall is not filled with tourist and its super serene and relaxed.

Tiantaishan in Zhejiang Province has a lot of variety in a relatively compact area. The two main attractions are the Tiantaishan Waterfall and the Guoqing Temple with its iconic pagoda. The combo ticket (165 RMB) for the Tiantaishan Waterfall and Qiongtai Fairy Canyon (天台山大瀑布，琼台仙谷) will allow you to do a complete circuit of both areas. I started at the waterfall. After taking photos at the base, I hiked up the waterfall and around the top of Qiongtai Fairy Canyon on a plank walk. The hike includes passage across the glass bridge. I then hiked down to the river at the canyon bottom. Took me about 4-5 hours total with plenty of time stopping to take photos. Then I took a cab to Guoqing Temple (国清寺). Entrance is free. Berendey Waterfall is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Primorsky Krai. 📍Address: It is located near Partizansk on the Kamenka River. The height of the waterfall is about 10 meters. In winter, it freezes completely and becomes like a huge 10-meter icicle. In spring, the river starts moving again, and the ice build-up thaws. It is not difficult to get to the waterfall. 1 The path to it begins on the outskirts of Partizansk, on Kamenskaya Street, and goes through the forest. About 500 meters from it, the ascent begins, quite long. The Strid on the River Wharfe on the Bolton Abbey estate has become famous in recent years by being labelled as the most dangerous river in the world. The legend goes that the young son of the owner of the nearby Skipton castle tried to jump the Strid with his dog but unfortunately fell as was taken down by the water leading to his mother giving the land to the monks who built the abbey itself. Whether or not the legend is true the water here is bout violent and incredibly deep with sonar measuring it as 65m. Takachiho Gorge is located in north Miyazaki, Kyushu, and is about 3h bus ride away from Fukuoka city. It is a volcanic formation as a result of the nearby Mount Aso. With Gokase River cutting through the basaltic rocks, the result is a narrow chasm with basaltic columns on both sides, which resemble scales at many places. The main attraction at the gorge has to be the 17m Manai Falls. To get a close up view of the falls, one can hire a boat, but it is recommended that you make a pre-booking for this. Otherwise there’s an observation deck which provides a great view as well. Near the falls, there’s a restaurant that serves nagashi somen - flowing noodles. The noodles are served via flowing water on bamboo shoots, and you have to catch the noodles with chopsticks as they flow past. Visiting Niagara Falls from the Canadian side was incredible. The falls are smaller than I expected but more powerful than I imagined, and the sound of the water is so loud—it really makes you feel the force of it. I got super lucky and saw a rainbow the whole time I was there, which made the view even more amazing. A tip: bring sunscreen or a hat if you come on a sunny day. There's no shade to hide! Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, MI, USA You have to visit Michigan and do a boat cruise to take in all of the beauty Pictured Rocks National Lake Shore has to offer. You can even see a waterfall which cascadeds 70 feet into Lake Superior, as well as East Channel Lighthouse, Miners Castle, Lovers’ Leap, Indian Head, Grand Portal and Chapel Rock just to name a few of the natural landmarks along these stunning rocks. The mineral-stained sandstone cliffs and Caribbean-blue Lake Superior stretch 42 miles between Munising and Grand Marais. When groundwater from the cliffs’ cracks drizzles down the rocks, stunning colors appear. Red identifies iron, black and white mean manganese, yellow and brown show limonite and pink and green show copper. It looks like a painting in some spots and absolutely beautiful, pictures don't do it justice and do not show the magnitude of how BIG the cliffs actually are. I stayed in Canaima for a night before heading to Angel Falls, and it was totally worth it. The town is small but beautiful, surrounded by lush jungle and scenic rivers. The local villages are so friendly, and the vibe is really relaxed. I loved how close you feel to nature there. We took a tour around the local falls and the riverbed, which was a highlight. The falls were stunning, and the boat ride through the jungle was a cool adventure. The area is peaceful, and the views are just incredible. I flew into this tiny town called Canaima in Venezuela, and right away, I knew this was going to be an adventure. First, we took a boat through the jungle—super cool but also really hot and humid. The sounds of the jungle were all around us. After a short hike, we finally reached the spot where you can see Angel Falls. When I saw the falls, I was seriously speechless. It was so much bigger than I expected, just this massive waterfall dropping from way up high. The sound of the water was so loud, but also kind of peaceful. It felt surreal being there. One of the best parts? I swam in a little pool right under the falls! The water was so refreshing, and the power of the falls crashing down around me was just incredible. It felt like I was in another world. Returning back was also fun, because we started to hike down late in the evening, after sunset. Jungle at night is a really weird place to be. It was fun though, even though it was a little bit scary. And then we spent the night at the camping grounds across the river where we slept in the hammocks. I loved the whole experience—getting there, the boat ride, the hike, and finally seeing the falls up close. Iguazu Falls is seriously amazing. The falls are huge, and you can get really close to them! The Devil’s Throat is wild – the sound of the water is so loud, you can feel it. It’s hard to describe how impressive it is up close. Everything around the falls is super green, which makes it feel even more magical. I was almost crying when I stood there, the feeling was just absolutely beautiful. It does get a bit crowded, but it’s totally worth it. You can easily spend there entire day. We spent the weekend in Bend, Oregon. What a beautiful city. 🌆 Stunning views of sunset from the viewpoint in the city. There is an amazing Gelato place called Bonta. I'm not a fan of waterfall, but Tumpak Sewu took my breath away. Tumpak Sewu is an enormous waterfall that creates a semi-circular curtain of showers against a giant rock face. Tumpak Sewu is generally translated to mean ‘1000 waterfalls’ in the Javanese language and stands at a whopping 120 meters (390 ft)! The waterfalls are magnificent. Path to the waterfall is a really wonderful experience, but prepare good shoes to walk in the water as there are parts that you need to move in the water. The hike is not that difficult.
