Pákozd, interesting geological formation, the 'balancing rocks'
Pakozd village is close to a protected area where you can find the celebrated Ingókövek ('balancing rocks').
These weather-rounded granite blocks—Pogány-kő, Oroszlán-szikla, Kocka and others—rose to the surface as overlying gneiss eroded, making Pákozd the only Hungarian site with textbook granite tors.
There's way-marked trail from the village center to the protected area.
As you can see in the pictures, I actually found a rock that looks very unstable.
You can try your luck maybe you can find more.
If you aren't satisfied with the rocks you can enjoy the view of the Lake Venice or you can visit the huge hussar statue on the edge of the village.

Heaven on Earth—Banff, Canada
Banff National Park is truly the most beautiful place in Canada. I went there in winter time when it is the most beautiful time there and fewer people are. To save money, I lived in Canmore and took a bus to travel around in Banff. Here are some sites that I visited:
🏔️Three Sisters, Canmore🏔️
Even just in Canmore, you can see many beautiful mountains. The Three Sisters are the most famous ones. The people there are very nice and friendly because most locals live in Canmore not Banff, so you get to enjoy the warmth of the locals while living in Canmore surrounded by mountains.
🏔️Banff National Park🏔️
📍Lake Louise
Lake Louise is truly a place that will make you feel like you’re in a painting. The unique turquoise color of the lake is definitely what makes the lake so beautiful. It is beyond the description of words. You have to visit it yourself to experience the wonder.
📍Johnston Canyon
At Johnston Canyon, you get to see all kinds of amazing views, including canyon, creek, waterfall, and even cliffs made with ice! Some of the waterfall is even frozen into ice sticks. The total length of the hike is about 2.6km, so you can complete it without too much effort. However, in winter time the road is covered with ice, so it’s quite slippery. Please bring shoes that have spikes when you visit.
📍Tunnel Mountain
If you want to hike the easiest mountain in Banff, Tunnel Mountain is a relatively easy one for travellers. It’s amazing to elevate yourself to this height and have a broad view of the landscape, which really opens up my mind and heart for more new things coming into my life.
🏞️Beautiful lake view to visit🏞️
📍Moraine Lake
📍Two Jack Lake
📍Lake Minnewanka
📍Vermilion Lakes
📍Bow Falls
🏠Accommodation: Party Hostel- Canmore Hotel Hostel
This is a hostel that you get to make friends easily because downstairs is the restaurant and bar. You can have karaoke, delicious meals, billiards, and meet many friendly people from around the world as well as the locals.
📍738 8 St, Canmore, Alberta, T1W 2B6, Canada
🚍Transportation
Bus is available and affordable in this area.
I really can never forget the beautiful scenery and feeling I get from Banff National Park. It is a must-visit place if you have the chance to go to Canada. There are still so many mountains I haven’t hiked there. I really have to go back again to explore more. Explore Banff yourself and choose the mountains that you’re resonated with the most to immerse yourself in nature💗🏞️

Yoga at Wascana Lake, Regina, Saskatchewan Canada
One of my favorite things to do studying at the University of Regina was to visit the beautiful Wascana Lake.
Things you can do there:
🏃🏻In the morning, I like to go there to jog. It is possible to jog around the entire lake.
🧘🏻I also like to do yoga there because it’s very quiet and peaceful with few people there.
🚣You can even go kayaking and you will see the magnificent parliament building. It’s a very peaceful experience kayaking at Wascana Lake on a beautiful sunny day.
🦆Bird watching. During autumn, you will see many Wascana migratory birds. Canada goose are the most common bird species.
🍁During September and October, northern light is common in Saskatchewan Canada, so be aware of the aurora forecast during your time there!
❄️In winter time, it’s very cold with the temperatures around -20 C. Sometimes the lake will be frozen into ice. It’s very cold to walk there, but the scenery is very beautiful.
I really like nature and I’m grateful that this lake accompanies me during my exchange student semester. I hope you can also experience the peace I experienced here at Wascana Lake🥰

Spring at Issyk Kul
Visiting Lake Issyk-Kul in spring is a breathtaking experience. Nestled among the snow-dusted Tien Shan mountains, the lake stretches out like an inland sea—so vast you almost forget it’s landlocked. The crisp spring air carries the scent of pine and fresh meltwater, and the scenery is pure magic: crystal-clear waters reflecting the peaks, wildflowers starting to bloom along the shores, and a peaceful stillness broken only by birds and the gentle lapping of waves.
One of the most charming parts of the visit is hopping aboard one of the old Soviet-era boats that still cruise the lake. Weathered but sturdy, these boats take tourists on leisurely trips across the water, offering panoramic views and a nostalgic glimpse into the past. It’s a perfect way to soak in the beauty and enormity of this legendary lake.

Perfect Day of Adventure and Serenity in Tibet
Namtso Lake is a magical place that offers stunning beauty and fun, unexpected experiences. 🌊💙 The views of the snow-capped mountains and the crystal-clear lake are jaw-dropping, but what made my day were the little adventures. I fed the birds dried noodles 🦅 (who knew they liked it or were hungry?!).
Besides, you can cuddle with the cutest Tibetan sheep 🐑, riding a horse 🐎 and a white Tibetan cow 🐄—a unique experience! It’s a place where you can take in the peaceful beauty of the landscape and still have a blast interacting with the animals and locals. Namtso isn’t just a scenic spot; it’s an experience full of peace, fun, and connection to the land and its creatures.

West Lake, a must-visit scenic hotspot in Hangzhou, China.
#discoverchina#hangzhou#lake#scenic
Xi Lake(西湖), also know as the West Lake, it's one of the China's most famous scenic spots in Hangzhou, China. Renowned for its breathtaking natural beauty & rich cultural heritage.
Exploring the Xi Lake with my local friend in couple
of weeks before, we were really enjoyed the lake's picturesque landscapes, especially during sunset and evening when lights illuminated.
The "Ten Scenes of West Lake" such as 👉🏽 Three Pools Mirroring the Moon, & Leifeng Pagoda in the Sunset were the highlights. The lake is also associated with the legends like the "White Snake", and historic sites like Lingyin Temple and Yue Fei’s Tomb, adding the depth to the visit.
We truly enjoyed strolling around the lake, taking in the serene views of willow trees, lotus flowers, and traditional bridges. If you have enough time, renting a boat or taking a cruise is highly recommend for a different perspective of the lake.
⏩ Unlike many tourist attractions, the Xi Lake area is FREE to enter, though some individual sites charge fees.

A natural scenic gem

Dianchi Lake, the largest lake in Yunnan and the eighth largest in China, offers stunning views with the Western Hills as its backdrop. Often called the “Pearl of the Plateau,” it sits at an altitude of about 1,886 meters. The lake is famous for its migratory seagulls in winter. Despite past pollution, restoration efforts continue. Walking along the shore, I enjoyed the fresh air and the serene beauty of the landscape.

Lugano is where Swiss precision meets Mediterranean soul, making it the perfect place for a scenic and relaxing day trip. Strolling along the lakefront promenade, I was mesmerized by the crystal-clear waters of Lake Lugano, framed by the lush mountains in the distance. For stunning views, take the funicular up Monte Brè or Monte San Salvatore—the panoramas are unforgettable! Whether you’re exploring art at LAC Lugano Arte e Cultura, indulging in Italian-inspired cuisine, or simply soaking in the lakeside beauty, Lugano is a must-visit Swiss gem!
The bottom of the lake
Both the northern and eastern side of England’s largest lake, Windermere attract a large number of visitors throughout the year.
Slightly less accessible are its southern and Western reaches but that doesn’t mean that you should miss out on them during your next trip to the Lake District.
The village of Lakeside has a number of attractions to make a visit worthwhile from the Lakes Aquarium to the steam powered heritage railway and the chance to take a steamer across the lake.

Around the tarn
The Lake District national park as its name suggests is full of beautiful water features including the biggest lake in England. But size isn’t everything and one of the smaller bodies of water in the region may take the crown for being the most beautiful.
The 2.5km route around Tarn Hows on the foothills of the mountains that surround Coniston Water is the perfect easy walk or as part of a longer hike in the area. On a sunny day as the crystal clear water reflects the trees that cling to the edge, there are very few places that can match its beauty #outdoors #lake

Lake Bled in the Misty Embrace
Nestled in the Julian Alps of Slovenia, Lake Bled reveals a unique charm on misty mornings. The iconic church perched on the tiny island seems to float as the soft mist weaves through the water’s surface. The surrounding forests are veiled in a dreamy haze, and the medieval Bled Castle stands majestically on the cliff, its silhouette softened by the fog.
Despite the lack of vibrant sunlight, the lake’s beauty remains captivating. The muted colors and still waters evoke a sense of calm, as if time itself has paused to admire nature’s delicate artistry. For those who wander along its shores on such a morning, Bled Lake offers not just a view, but a tranquil escape into a serene and timeless world.
