Visiting Petra in April was one of the most memorable experiences of my travels. The early spring sun, cool breeze, and quiet atmosphere made the day feel almost sacred. I arrived early to walk through the Siq, the narrow gorge that leads to Petra, and watched how the morning light danced on the rose-colored stone walls. The cooler spring weather made the long walks and climbs enjoyable, and the views from the top were unforgettable. What I loved most was the balance between nature and history. In April, Petra isn’t just a set of ruins — it’s a living, breathing place filled with birdsong, blossoms, and silence. 🛏️ Travel tip: After a full day exploring, I stayed the night in a small guesthouse in the village of Wadi Musa, just outside the site. It was the perfect way to rest, enjoy some local food, and reflect on the experience without rushing. ✍🏼 Tips for Visiting Petra in Spring: - Arrive early:The gates open around 6 AM. You’ll avoid crowds and catch the soft golden light through the Siq and on the Treasury. - Wear good shoes: There’s a lot of walking and some uneven paths. Hiking shoes or sturdy sneakers make a big difference. - Bring layers: Mornings are fresh, but it gets warm by midday. Blessed with the warm spring days lately, but also the beautiful blossoms popping up in parks across the city. It was my first time catching the colours of the spring blossoms at Linping Park & it was lovely 🌹🌷🌸✨ The park has a nursery as you walk up with different variety of flowers, each colourful & gorgeous. Getting There - I took the didi from the Nanjing South Railway Station and it took less than half hour, maybe 15 minutes. Attractions - Take a walk around the lake. The Running Tiger Spring (Hupao Spring) is ranked third in China. It is a truly peaceful park that allows an escape from the busy streets and transports you to an exquisite nature paradise. We spent about 90 minutes hiking to the top of the park and passed some beautiful statues along the way. Many of the name plates are in both Chinese and English. They explain the history of the spring and why the water that comes from it has gained high praises. Once you reach the top of the hike, you can enjoy a cup of Longjing Tea made from the spring water or take a closer look at the stunning, classical architecture that surrounds the area and blends so well into the serene atmosphere of the park. As spring fully rolls in I was finally able to go out for some spring photography!! the one place that I was able to go was the famous baitang garden or the baitang park in Suzhou. this awesome place is located at the Nanshi street in Suzhou. a friend of mine mentioned that that would be great spot for some spring photography and white that I set off. and one thing was for sure and that was the fact that it was not only beautiful, but it exceeded my expectations. there was a whole area dedicated to the Sakura flowers 🌸 and that really gives a dreamy vibe and atmosphere. hopefully these photos can encourage people to step out this spring and get some beautiful photos #flowerlover #urbanexplorer #naturalwonders #springholiday #springblossoms #springtime

The Fontana del Nettuno (Fountain of Neptune) has been nicknamed “al Żigànt” in dialect ("the Giant") by the Bolognese because of the size of the statue of Neptune. The fountain made of marble and bronze, was built between 1563 and 1566 by the Flemish sculptor Giambologna on a project by the Italian Tommaso Laureti. It is a symbol of the power of the Pope who ruled the world like Neptune ruled the seas. At the feet of the statue, in fact, lie four little angels, representing Gange, the Nile, the Amazon and Danube, i.e. the rivers of the continents known at the time. The trident of the Neptune's statue inspired and it was used by Maserati brothers as emblem for their first car, the Maserati Tipo 26. The logo was realized in 1920 by one of the brothers, Mario Maserati, at the suggestion of a family friend, Marquis Diego de Sterlich. This is still today the logo of the Maserati car company. The fountain and its sculpture are one of the most iconic symbols of the city and references to them can be found in many symbols, commercials and logos. This includes the historical students' fraternity (Goliardia) "Excelsa Neptuni Balla", on whose emblem figure two tridents. The Bolognese anecdote also tells of a particular expedient implemented by Giambologna, who intended to find a way to make Neptune with realistic genitals, without being discovered and admonished by the Church. The Hanshan temple is a really huge tourist location, it’s located towards the western part of Suzhou, this location is one that I found was really good for photography. you can see many different spots around the area that are highly photogenic. I Definitely recommend that you visit this place during the spring time, a time which I feel you would experience this temple at its finest. I visited this spot with my photography buddy and walked around and got these awesome shots. Flights, bus, train…ships! For first timers, would recommend staying in the city for 4/5 days to not rush things and fully experience what it has to offer. Good areas to stay: Hongdae or Itaewon. Hongdae is more recommended as there is the airport subway that connects you directly and cheaper than taking an airport bus. Has loads of restaurants, cafes and nightlife as well. Getting There - from Tokyo airport, took a direct bus to Fujiyoshida. Attractions - Fujiyoshida is home to one of the most famous streets to admire this giant volcano and Chureito Pagoda. As well as Kawaguchiko Lake where is possible to see Fuji with unobstructed views. Hotels - plenty of cheap hostels and capsule hotels for fellow budget travelers (as Japan can be incredibly expensive) are available in Fujiyoshida and all around Kawaguchiko Lake. Said to be the most photographed tree in New Zealand, I am not surprised about this statement because once you are there, you will see a huge crowd of people with their cameras trying to take photo of this tree! Even so, I would still recommend everyone to visit the place because the scenery here is really really beautiful! It might be touristy, but don’t ever let them stop you from coming because you’re gonna lose out on an opportunity to see something amazing! This is also one of the few spots of New Zealand where you do not have to hike a lot to reach the main view point of the location. The tree is merely a few minutes walk away from the carpark, making it easily accessible to everyone of all ages! Apart from the tree, the scenery around here are all really good spots to take some wonderful photos to bring home as memories too. As always, the food was delicious, presentable and great. Each portion are quite big that’s good for sharing! Here is the aerial view of this rather unique university campus. this campus is one of three campuses of the Suzhou university. This particular campus is the oldest campus and its rich with culture and beauty. What makes this campus standout from most campuses in the world is the fact that, just walking around in the campus, weather to go for classes or to go to the library, you feel like you’re walking through a scenic garden. This designs and architecture mix Chinese aesthetic with a bit of old European style to give something you have never seen before.
