Huang Yao is located in Hezhou, Guangxi province. It is one of the best preserved ancient towns in all of China with a history of over 1000 years. The town is immaculate, with numerous narrow cobbled streets opening up onto squares, ponds, lakes or gardens. The town runs either side of a small river, which has a clear and central prominence in the life of the locals. The town is full of coffee shops, restaurants, boutique restaurants and craft shops. A stunning place to visit. The views are breath taking and the people are kind. The buildings and temples are in great condition and give a clear idea of how life once was. Went for a few hours to this very old village. The view was amazing from the village. Very clear skies and green mountains. This is a great place to visit if you are interested in diving deep into ancient Chinese lifestyles. There are performances through out the day last one starting at 15:00. One of my favorite pastimes for when I visit the Pingjiang Lu, is to watch these people row down and up this amazing canal.  these waterways are located in the beautiful city of Suzhou in China and Suzhou’s is popularly known as the Venice of the east. why is it known as that, well that’s because of it's many water canals and bridges around the city! fun fact, more than 42% of the city is covered in water. scattered across the city you’re gonna see so many of these canals and waterways in different spots and this particular location is no different. My boyfriend and I had a short trip to Miyun by motorcyle and we decided to make a stop at Gubei Water Town. I was amazed of the structure and architecture. You can see the ancient villages in this area. Many restaurants you can find around too. It is located on the Northeast side of Miyun County Beijing . I visited Ciqikou Ancient Town with my family during national holidays so it was crowded and busy there. We got there by subway 🚇 The station is very close to the Ancient town. There was a little hot but we bought some fresh fruit salads and iced beverages to cool us down fruit 🍉🍹 There are small shops everywhere. Snacks, drinks, souvenirs! Restaurants, tea and coffee shops ☕️ 🍵 on every step! There is also a beautiful Baolun Temple which is worth to see 🤩 The entrance is free to the Ancient town! 👍 If wanna enjoy this place fully, better to visit during no-holiday period! #chongqingchina #ancienttowns #temple

Your trip to Shanghai isn’t complete if you don’t have the chance the gorgeous small water town of Zhujiajiao! This water town is located in the outskirts of Shanghai and easily accessible by metro. Once you’ve reached the station, walk about 15minutes to reach the entrance of the old town. Once you get there, I’d suggest you spend few hours walking around and enjoying the beauty of this little water town. I speak very little Chinese but still had the chance to converse with some locals. They were super friendly ! It really is a nice peaceful and beautiful area. Have fun! Qingyan Ancient Town, one of the most famous historical and cultural towns in Guizhou, was an extremely memorable and pleasant experience. It’s incredibly easy to get to. I took a taxi from Guiyang, it took just under an hour and cost 80rmb. If you prefer, you could also take bus 203 or 210. My ticket cost 60rmb and I spent about 4 hours at the site. The town itself is breathtakingly beautiful. A spectacular city wall encases the town which you are free to walk upon. This provides wonderful views and photo opportunities. The ancient architecture is wonderful with different temples, courtyards, gates and walls to visit. The streets are alive and bustling with an enormous variety of local vendors selling street food, local delicacies, clothing, instruments and much more. N’s Kitchen is a hidden but great spot in Lijiang Old Town. This small restaurant is located in a second floor, with a tree view and a rustic ambience. Imagine to enjoy the local beer/wine in a chilling place, Beatles playing, to recharge all that energy you lost after a tiring trekking/hiking trip in any of the near parks. Must say, this was a full mood change after a quite hectic day. Pizza was perfect and all dishes have the size of its taste. Funny to find a sandwich accompanied with fruit instead of fries. Although, worked out. Also Yunnan fruity wine is available for you to try. Son Gha is dark brew from Shangri La, which owners we got to hear are making a huge effort in supporting an orphanage in the area. There is no many places you can find it, so cheers for N’s Kitchen! I should warn you, not a good place for drinking too much. Pingjianglu, known as the venice of the east is a popular tourist spot of Gusu district in Suzhou, Jiangsu province. This rich historical street has a number of alleys, a long canal, shops, and wells. When you will walk through some of the alleys, you will listen Pingtan, the Suzhou originated narrative music performs in Suzhou dialect. It will make you feel nostalgic. Every time I come here, I have the same feelings. Usually, during weekends this place is crowded with many tourists. You can visit here at any weekday if you don't like crowd. The ancient town of Zhouzhuang is popularly known as the Venezia of China. This water town is located 30km away from Suzhou. As cultural gem, this town is amazingly preserved, and most of the structures date from Ming and Qing dynasties. Town is surrounded by lake and canals, you can even see people fishing in some areas. You can walk around the town or enjoy this amazing journey in a gondola. Some of the guides will even sing during their trip to give you the authentic experience. This ancient town retains history in each building, bridge and stone. Few towns in China maintain their authenticity, and the canals give this town an additional charm you can’t find elsewhere. There are few coffee shops, restaurants and shopping locals open along the town. Although are relatively expensive. Some locations are empty, or abandoned. Boat ride costs 180-220 RMB for an hour and a half. On our visit to Yunnan ancient town in Shangrila, situated in Deqen, we suddenly got bumped into this serene buddha temple. Although I know there's a huge bell or drum sort of thing in Yunnan, we never searched about it🥸. So luckily in Deqen, on our night market exploration we found this beauty. Also the speciality of this temple is with the female buddha👸, which is quite rare to find as far as my travel in China. The huge tower like structure that you see here, will be rolled by people and you make a wish💫. Ever dreamt of getting into an old market, which only leads to some ancient architecture and buildings; but suddenly getting popped up with a whole lot of amazing things🤩. Then the Sakura restaurant 🌸 near to the ancient Lijiang town is the place for you. Walking some 1 km inside the ancient town, you can quite easily find them. And compared to the number of people come here to eat, the quantity of them for taking pictures is more 😝 Ofcourse, the food was delicious and had more authentic taste. The Park an der Ilm was a great place for a stroll in #weimar. Several sort of memorial statues are scattered around to various historical figures including Pushkin and Shakespeare. Fenghuang Ancient Town (Phoenix Town) is a peaceful town just outside of Zhangjiajie. It can be done within a day if you use the local bus instead of taking a tour. We took a bus from the Zhangjiajie central bus station. Costs 80 RMB per trip and takes around 4h15min to get there. The journey back by bus was quicker, around 3h45min. They have loads of spots to buy snacks and water, and a few Chinese restaurants within the town. Puglia (Apulia in English) holds a special place in my heart. White is the dominant tone here, and you’ll find yourself in a constant summer mood all year long.
