The lingering garden is one of the oldest gardens in Suzhou. It is located in the Gusu district of suzhou, and is known for many things and one of the things is it’s really beautiful and simplistic windows. This garden is special because all around the garden there are different rooms and chambers which are all separated but still connected at the same time. And this is all because of the design of the windows. the best time to Visit any one of these Suzhou gardens is when there are as few tourists as possible. This was the case when I visited the Lingering Garden on this day, I set out very early in the morning because I and some other people were invited to take some pictures at this location. the moment I arrived, I was super excited at the fact that the whole#suzhou place was completely empty. so there was only one thing to do and that was to get shooting. I was able to get some self portraits, after a while of shooting it started to rain, which gave the garden quite a different and interesting feel. also I’m a huge fan of the design of the trashcans. #suzhoulandmark #suzhougardens #suzhou #nationalpark

It's not too often you'll see a tunnel that has no cars passing by... only jogglers and walkers (foreign and local). This tunnel connects the North and East wing of Shenzhen International Garden and Flower Expo Garden. Inside it are mesmerizing framed photos of the Yuanboyuan garden from then up to the present. Photos showcasing all these wonderful gardens inside the said park. Oh, and this tunnel is well-illuminated. You can either walk through it, Or run through it. Vienna is a city that has long been associated with excellence in modern, multiunit housing and BURO KLK's Gudrunstraße lends further credence to this perception. Erected in an empty lot, the building's façade is comprised of stacked Viennese Schrebergardens (traditional, small and intmate garden communities), creating a unique identity for each home while simultaneously reinforcing a strong and singular character for the building as a whole. The peaked gable-like protrutions act like symbols of home and dwelling — an especially welcome image in a predominantly commercial neighborhood. In this sense, the apartment building positively contributes to the area's urban development. The complex contains a total of fifty apartments and six offices, all oriented to the South-East towards a more quiet street. This “building within a building” integrates the stone ruins of a former parchment factory with a Grade 2 listed double fronted Victorian house and its accompanying cattle shed. By delicately inserting two lightweight volumes within the crumbling masonry walls, the intervention preserves and celebrates a heritage structure that was very nearly demolished. The extension was built out of up-cycled materials predominantly found on site which was both cost effective and sustainable, allowing the building to sensitively blend into its surroundings. Getting There - Exit 4 Beisita station (line 4) Attractions - North pagoda temple. Lovely temple and a small garden. I went there on a rainy day so didn’t get to enjoy the site for too long but it was very enjoyable. Cost: Free! About 12 - 15 mins walk from there, there’s the Suzhou museum. Baitang Ecological Pak, located in Nanshijie in Suzhou is a place of picturesque. It has a beautiful lake, the largest water surface in the park, surrounded by trees, flower plants, other amenities for the visitors. There are also boating facilities for the visitors to enjoy the beauty of the lake. There is a long bridge accross the lake connecting the east and west scenic spots.
