#islands My visit to Delos Island in Greece was like stepping back in time! 🏺⏳ This UNESCO World Heritage site is known for its ancient ruins and mythological significance, and it definitely lives up to its reputation. To get there, I took a ferry from Mykonos, which cost around €20 for a round trip. The entrance fee to the island itself was €12, a small price to pay for exploring one of the most important archaeological sites in the world. 🚤💶 Walking among the ruins of temples, statues, and mosaics, I felt like I was walking through history. Highlights included the Terrace of the Lions, with its row of stone lions that have guarded the island for centuries, and the House of Dionysus, which features a stunning mosaic of the god himself. 🦁🏛️ Climbing Mount Kynthos, the highest point on the island, provided incredible panoramic views of the surrounding sea and islands. Don’t forget to bring water and a hat, as the sun can be quite intense! Starting to get a bit bored with all those landscapes and waterfalls? No worries I got you covered! This time I’ll bring you with me to explore something new and it’s perfect for a fun little day out. Feel free to follow this travel guide to make the most of it! We started our day at Brimham Rocks which has over 200 years of history with about 20 different rock structures. Each of them is unique in their own way and i was truly blown away by how magnificent and gigantic they were! The walk is about 2-3 hours long with mostly flat roads. You could also climb up to the rocks and get a stunning view from to top! After enjoying all the breathtaking views, we went to Knaresborough with is an absolute stunning town and only 30 minutes drive away from Brimham Rocks. This is where you could see the iconic and scenic viaduct. There’s also a castle which is right next to the viaduct so definitely go check it out if you are interested in it. Formed in 305, the island got its name in the sixth century thanks to the work of the famous poet of the Tang Dynasty. 140 m long and 40 m wide, it looks like a huge green ship covered with a carpet of flowering trees. It is believed to be the world's largest inland island, and is currently a popular summer vacation destination in Changsha because temperatures never rise high here, even from May to July. During the Tang Dynasty, poet Du Fu wrote poems Daolin Temple visits and Yuelushan Temple, which says Orange Island. He was on Xiao Xiang's list of eight views - River and Sky: Snow at Sunset. In addition, from 1911 to 1949, many foreign embassies and consulates were built on the island, since Changsha was opened to foreign trade as part of the Shanghai Treaty of 1903. Orange Island is not only the largest island among the many islands in the lower reaches of the Xiang River, but also the largest inland island in the world. Orange Island is suitable for traveling at any time of the year. The Orange Island construction theme includes concepts such as ecology, culture, tourism and leisure. #islands Fancy to go on a hike with scenic views that’s not too challenging? Follow this guide to get the most of it! Malham is a small town located in the Yorkshire Dales National park. There’s a massive carpark located in this small town with reasonable price so you can park your car there and go up the hill! Start your route from Malham and walk up to the Malham Cove. This is meant to be a 30 minutes hike but it took me longer than that. You will see some incredible small lakes along your way before you reach the destination. After getting a breather and enjoy the incredible views, start your journey again from the Malham Cove and walk to Gordale star. This is a slightly longer walk which took me around an hour and a half but the unique and incredible views at the end is definitely worth it! At the end very end, before returning to Malham you would walk pass Janet’s Foss which offers a scenic waterfall. #myhiddengems I have always liked the sight of light houses. This one even comes with a little museum that had videos in English. I paid barely 4 bucks and there was a lovely garden too to explore. With good weather like when i was there, this place does draw a fine number of tourists. The trip to Oleron island was fascinating and the museum here gives rich insights into the history of Oleron. There are considerable steps involved and since it can get crowded. They have a limit to the number of people they let in. So, it may take a few minutes more than it should if it's a busy season. The view from the lighthouse is splendid. Plenty of restaurants and refreshment places not too far from the lighthouse. #islandtours If you are in Marsellie you must have definitely heard about the prision island or if you have read the classic count of Monte cristo. This will interest you very much. It's a popular half day tour to the island. In my case I had the benefit of a Marseille card. And this boat ride is included in that. (By the ways on a side note, this Marseille pass is highly recommended as it not only includes the boat ride but also the petite train ride and 24 hours of public transport usage.) It's a wonderful fort and then the view all the way along was spectacular. You could easily spend half an hour or more at the fort. There is a beach too with rocks. The boat is every hour. At the site there is a cafe and restaurant as well. But the prices are terrible. I would recommend carrying something to eat and drink. #islands This summer, I ventured to the Faroe Islands, and it was like stepping into a world untouched by time. The raw, natural beauty of the islands is something I’ll never forget. My journey began in Tórshavn, the charming capital, where I wandered through the quaint old town, Tinganes, with its iconic red wooden houses. The best part? Just walking around and soaking in the atmosphere is completely free. One of the highlights was a hike to the stunning Sørvágsvatn lake, which appears to hang over the ocean in a mind-bending optical illusion. The entrance fee to hike in the area was around 200 DKK (about €27), and the views were worth every penny. The dramatic cliffs, rolling green hills, and misty skies felt straight out of a fantasy novel. I also took a boat tour to see the famous sea stacks at Drangarnir. The towering rock formations rising from the ocean were absolutely awe-inspiring. The boat ride cost about 450 DKK (around €60), and it was an incredible way to experience the wild coastline. 1. daigoji temple, The garden is nice and it's more than 2 minutes and you can get a lot of history there. When we arrived there was a lot of parking available and it is a paid parking lot. 2. fushimi inari taisha, I visited early in the morning when the sun light was just starting to come through the trees in the forest and it felt truly magical. There were many portions of the hike where I was completely alone or maybe with 1-2 other people for fairly long periods of time. 3. kodaiji temple, The temple tours are usually open until 10pm, but it's always a good idea to double-check the hours before your visit. Don't miss the enchanting bamboo forest trail, which becomes even more mesmerizing at night. 4. toji temple, The towering pagoda, standing as the tallest wooden tower in Japan, is a testament to ancient craftsmanship. Toji Temple offers a serene and enchanting experience that captures the essence of Kyoto's rich cultural heritage. 5. yasaka shrine, As darkness envelops the city, the shrine comes alive in a breathtaking display, illuminated by an alluring array of beautiful lanterns. #islands Yeli Island This is an island park. A fairly long pedestrian bridge leads to it. There is a road around the island where you can walk, run, ride bicycles or rent a bike cabin. It's like a bicycle rickshaw, but you'll have to drive it yourself. There may be another person next to the driver. The cabin is designed for four people. Of course, we took such a bike cabin, and before we had traveled a kilometer, it broke down. So it's good that there were a lot of us, some sitting inside, others pushing. It didn't spoil our good mood — it just made us feel better. There is a rather wild park in the middle of the island. There is also an Opera Hall on the island, which looks like a pearl shell. It is currently under reconstruction. Personally, I really liked the skeleton. We were there in the evening. A lot of people are running (there are special tracks for this), riding bicycles, just walking. Entry by car to the island is prohibited. The entrance to the park is free. There are no cafes and stalls in the park, but coconuts were sold at the entrance to the bridge. The Opera House in Zhuhai, China, on Yeli Island has already become a new attraction in the region. Two curved translucent structures resembling seashells give the building a unique look. Located on the banks of the Zhujiang River, the theater includes a hall with 1.5 thousand seats, a multifunctional hall with 550 seats and an open-air theater for 350 people. There are also a big number of restaurants and cafes surrounding the Zhuhai Opera Theater. Delicious food and fresh breeze from the sea with stunning views make people come back here again and again. Overall, it was a good trip in such a nice place.

The roads are well maintained, and strict environmental control is carried out. History The local beauty was appreciated by the first British consul in Xiamen in 1844: he was the first to build a villa here. At that time, arable land was still being cultivated on Gulangyu. In the next 60-80 years, a settlement gradually emerged, marked by European architectural styles, which still stands today, and not only villas were built here, but also schools, churches and shopping establishments. Japanese people also settled here — and well-to-do Chinese, because Gulangyu was not a ghetto for foreigners. Unlike Tianjin, there were no separate zones of influence of various foreign powers. Inspection 🗓️It will take a good half day to see the most important things and breathe in the local atmosphere a little. At the same time, you can use electric cars that travel along a 6-kilometer route around the island. But most of the way should be done on foot. However, Gulangyu is a place where you can stay longer. You can hardly find a more cozy place than here.
