【Mt. Kinabalu: Self-dialogue at 4095m】 ⛰️🚶♂️☀️💨
Some people say that mountain climbing is a process of talking to yourself,
and I only remember that sentence: "Why torture yourself during vacation?"
But when I stood on Low’s Peak and looked at the sunrise and the sea of clouds,
I knew it was all worth it. Really.
From the moment I set out from Kinabalu Park,
I was either climbing the mountain or preparing to climb the mountain.
I got up in the dark at 2 a.m. just to reach the top with the sun ——
In the end, I was tanned like a walking light bulb on the mountain.
(But I still couldn't help taking 300 photos)📸
My feet hurt, the wind was cold, my breathing was panting,
but there was light in my heart.

Amazing stay at Sutera Sanctuary Lodges Kinabalu Park
Done the MtKinabalu hike in 2008. Return to Sabah with family and kids this time. Amazing stay at Sutera Sanctuary Lodges at Kinabalu Park. Great breakfast range and many short hiking trails nearby which are suitable for young children too. Family and the kids enjoy the walk in cooling weather. Not to forget to mention the amazing view of Mountain Kinabalu right in front of the lodge early in the morning.

Climbing Mount Kinabalu in Sabah Borneo
Mount Kinabalu graces the beautiful state Sabah in Malaysia at 4095.2m above sea level, it is increasing popular for tourists and the locals to try and climb it.
Me and a mate had a chance to climb it a couple of months ago and lord, it wasn't cheap and easy but it was definitely worth it. An experience you want to tell everyone and when you look back, you'd say "I did it".
Booking the trip.
You will have to engage with tour operators and the prices varies for the locals vs internationals, which accomodation you choose, which trail and how many days you want to do the climb.
Only 165 climbers allowed per day, so book your trip way in advanced.
We chose a 2D1N trip mainly because, we know it is a bad idea to prolong sore legs, so we just wanted to get over it asap.
The walk started for 4-5 hours through Timpohon trail (short distance) up to Laban Rata. Mesilau trail is longer and nicer though. Stayed over at Laban Rata for the night and woke up super early in the morning to ascend to the top. Took about 2-3 hours and you want to get there with your sore legs before sunrise!!
The descend took about 6hours probably full of curses. I did..cause it was a painful descend, my legs were in pain but hey, I didnt prepare enough for it. My bad. Whilst descending ,you get to see beautiful flora and fauna and mountain worker running down with a huge gas cannister on their back, climbers luggages..😌😌 there was I, suffering 😁😁😅
The climb was amazing ,right..i got to see all these pretty and amazing new things in the forest through the trail, it was exciting.w e were lucky enough to see Rafflesia up close. The descend was a pure torture..we had beers, ling massage and laughed about it in KK after it was all over.
I will not do it again but i encourage you to experience it at least once. It was a great memory, a great experience and mind you, i almost give up during the last ascend. but i didnt. everything was unbelievable up there. it felt like i wasnt on earth. never knew i would manage to climb it.

Kinabalu: Nature’s Masterpiece
Climbed Mount Kinabalu and left a piece of my soul at the summit — right next to my breath and a lot of sweat.
Tough? Yes.
Worth it? Every single step.
From misty trails to standing above the clouds, it’s an experience that humbles you, challenges you, and rewards you with views that no photo can do justice.
If you’ve been thinking about it — stop thinking. Go.
Kinabalu is calling. 🏔️✨#mtkinabalu

Mt. Kinabalu
Mountain Kinabalu is the highest mountain in Malaysia, and usually people will need to take 2 day one night to reach the peak, which the RM 1 note have the picture printing there. Some people might need oxygen in order to breath. In order to reach the peak usually people will need depart 3am next day. So when 6am you will see the most amazing sunrise at the peak, it’s the most amazing moment in my life. And it’s so touching. Sure will going there soon. But just worry when getting old, it might not be easy anymore , so all those younger people should plan your trip to mt. Kinabalu as soon as you still able to.💪🏻
