The "Environmental Art Forest" visited during the autumn foliage season felt like a space crafted by nature itself 🍁. With minimal artificial structures, this place allows you to fully enjoy the artistic beauty of autumn leaves and nature. It's an ideal destination for a relaxing autumn getaway. The quiet atmosphere and fewer visitors made it a perfect spot to refresh both the mind and soul.

In terms of location, I think it is downstream from Hojo Pond, a large pond in the center of the temple grounds.

Date: End of November
Weather: Sunny 19/11℃
The peak time for the autumn leaves in Nikko is between 9am and 2pm. If you are going to Nikko by car on weekends, head there at 8am to avoid the huge traffic jams on Irohazaka. Because it is a busy time, you don't need a map. It gets hot because you basically walk. I had planned to buy a free bus ticket, but I was able to walk more than I expected, and I heard that it is faster to walk during the autumn leaves season, so I did sightseeing on foot.
▼Time schedule
6:17 Depart Otemachi Station (Tokyo)
9:18 Arrive Tobu Nikko Station

▼Nikko Toshogu Shrine - 1600 yen
There is a long line of people buying admission tickets. It opens from 9am, so it may be empty if you come at that time. If you buy your ticket online first and have it issued at the entrance, you can enter without waiting in line. The stairs leading up to the inner shrine are crowded and there is a line, so it is a good idea to go to the toilet just before Nemuneko. It was crowded so it took about 20 minutes. Please note that there is a separate line for visiting Kanasugi.

The cherry blossoms of Daigo are famous because Toyotomi Hideyoshi went there to view the flowers,
but the autumn leaves are also very beautiful.
Is it true that Hideyoshi actually planned to view the autumn leaves at Daigoji Temple in the fall? Or not?
The autumn leaves tunnel that he must have planned is colorful and overwhelming.
You need to transfer from the city to get there, but it's worth it.

Let's go to Kyoto! Autumn leaves in Kyoto 🍁 [Tofukuji Temple]
Kyoto is a place you want to visit during the autumn foliage season!
Among them, Tofukuji Temple is definitely one of the recommended places🍁
Tofukuji Temple is easily accessible from Kyoto Station, with just one train ride🙆♀️
The ride time is only 2 minutes as it is only one stop, but please note that you have to walk about 15 minutes from the station to Tofukuji Temple.
The entrance fee is 1000 yen per person, which is a little expensive compared to other autumn foliage spots in Kyoto, but when you see the scenery that looks like a carpet of red foliage all over, you can experience autumn foliage that you can only see here!
The best season for autumn foliage varies slightly every year, but looking at the annual trends, the end of November to the beginning of December is recommended🌈#Kyoto #Kyoto sightseeing #Autumn leaves #Autumn foliage spots

[Kyoto🇯🇵] Bright red autumn leaves at dusk
Kiyomizu-dera Temple in autumn is surrounded by bright red autumn leaves and is very beautiful.
We especially recommend visiting at dusk.
The bright red leaves turn an even deeper red color in the setting sun, making it a great place to take photos 📸🍁
The main inner sanctuary is always crowded with people...
It's hard to move forward, but the excitement of being able to see Kiyomizu-dera Temple and the autumn leaves from the very front is unbelievable 🤍
Also, from late November, Kiyomizu-dera Temple is lit up at night, allowing you to enjoy a different view from the daytime or dusk.

[Kyoto🇯🇵] Let's go see the autumn leaves next year🍁
Speaking of autumn leaves, Bishamon-do Temple is the place to go.
A bright red carpet spreads along the approach to the temple, and you can enjoy a tunnel of autumn leaves.
The best time to see them is from late November to early December.
The recommended time to go is early in the morning.
It's a very popular spot for autumn leaves, so there are crowds of people in front of the approach to the temple during the day.
By the way, there aren't many people walking along the approach to the temple because everyone wants to see the untrodden autumn leaves and take photos lol
The reason why you can take beautiful photos is because no one wants to walk, and there are a lot of photo crews in front 🤣
Of course, there are many other things to see at Bishamon-do Temple besides the autumn leaves.
The colorful red decorations and the garden are lovely, so please go and check it out~

[Shiga Prefecture] Keisokuji Temple
#DomesticTrip
Keisokuji Temple (formerly Hanpukuji Temple) in Nagahama City, Shiga Prefecture, is a Tendai sect temple founded by Gyoki in 735 and rebuilt by Saicho in 799.
In the Middle Ages, it flourished as the center of the Hubei Buddhist cultural sphere, but it declined and the main hall was burned down in 1933.
Nowadays, it is known as a famous spot for autumn leaves, with about 200 maple trees turning vibrant colors in the fall.
The "red carpet" of fallen leaves that spreads along the approach to the temple is particularly spectacular, and many tourists visit every year.
This photo was taken in December when the autumn leaves were nearing the end of their season, but it was still spectacular.

[Recommended spot]
The best attraction here. 👆Upside-down autumn leaves
Going further in from the ginkgo tree-lined path at the entrance,
you will find a Japanese garden,
where more than 70 maple trees around the pond are colored in vibrant reds, yellows, and oranges,
and the autumn leaves reflected on the pond's surface are breathtakingly beautiful💕💕
.
It seems that a fall foliage concert was also held on the lawn square.
