This beautifully maintained green space is perfect for a leisurely stroll, a quiet picnic, or a relaxing afternoon with a book. The park is surrounded by stunning Victorian and Georgian architecture, which adds to its charm and provides a sense of history.

🌸 Early Summer Vibes at Queen Elizabeth Park – Vancouver’s Crown Jewel
#summervacay
Located at the highest point in Vancouver, Queen Elizabeth Park is not only the city’s second-largest park, but also one of its most beloved. Originally named Little Mountain, it was renamed in 1939 to honor the visit of King George VI, Queen Elizabeth, and the young Princess Elizabeth (later Queen Elizabeth II). The park’s name reflects Canada’s deep historic ties with Britain — after all, Vancouver sits in the province of British Columbia.
In early summer, the park truly comes alive 🌿 — lush floral gardens, towering trees, and manicured landscapes provide stunning scenery. From the hilltop lookout, you’ll get panoramic views of downtown Vancouver framed by the North Shore Mountains — absolutely picture-perfect on a clear day. 🎨 You’ll often see local street artists sketching portraits or playing live music, adding a charming and relaxed atmosphere to your stroll.
Don’t miss the Bloedel Conservatory, a lush indoor tropical garden and aviary at the park’s summit.

The Garden Experience
Once inside, you’re greeted by vast, beautifully maintained landscapes—a mix of Japanese traditional gardens, French formal gardens, and English-style lawns. Every section is carefully designed and immaculately kept. It’s the kind of place where you can wander for hours without realizing it.
We especially enjoyed our morning walk through the garden—the perfect way to disconnect from Tokyo’s urban buzz. The paths are stroller- and family-friendly, and there’s plenty of space to relax, picnic, or simply take in the scenery.

My Stay at Oasia Hotel Downtown: Singapore's Green Oasis! 🌿🏨✨
#singaporehotel
Back in April 2019, I took my family on a trip to Singapore! Besides hitting up all the must-sees like Marina Bay Sands, Universal Studios, and Sentosa, one of my main goals was to check out Singapore's top-tier hotels! 🤩
For our first night, we stayed at the famous hotel, Oasia Hotel Downtown, designed by the incredible Singaporean firm, WOHA Architects.
This hotel is a true masterpiece of "urban greening"! Both its indoor and outdoor spaces are incredibly integrated with the landscape, making greenery an indispensable part of its very facade. The building's overall green plot ratio is an astounding 1100%! 🌱 This has truly transformed it into a haven for birds and wildlife, bringing biodiversity right back into the heart of the city. It also perfectly remedies the awkward lack of green space in its immediate vicinity, where it's surrounded by 10 other buildings. It's a breath of fresh air, literally! 🍃
If you're looking for a hotel that's not just a place to stay, but an experience in sustainable design and urban ecology, Oasia is absolutely it!

Brisbane City Botanic Gardens 🌿🌸
#summervacay
📍147 Alice St, Brisbane City QLD 4000
When people think of Brisbane’s botanical gardens, they usually picture the one at the foot of Mount Coot-tha 🏞️. But the City Botanic Gardens feels more like a cozy neighborhood park just downstairs — perfect for family and friends to stroll around 🚶♀️🚶♂️. The variety of plants is really nice 🌺🌳, and it’s a great quick nature break.
Lately, everyone’s probably stressed with midterms or looming deadlines 📚⌨️, sitting at the computer all day. Why not step outside and let the “20-minute park effect” work its magic? ✨🌿
I actually ended up here by chance 🤷♀️. After a quick meal in the city 🍴, I didn’t want to rush home to keep working on deadlines, so I just walked along Alice Street and found myself here.
Lots of people were picnicking by the river 🧺🌅, enjoying the sunset. Nearby residents pushed strollers with kids 👶🚼 or jogged for exercise 🏃♀️🏃♂️. Such a calm little oasis in the middle of the city!

#ForestEscape – A Moment in Shanghai Gongqing Forest Park
#stunningview
In a city that never slows down, Gongqing Forest Park offers a rare and beautiful pause. Tucked in the northeast corner of Shanghai, it’s a world of whispering pines, hidden lakes, and quiet walking trails — a place where the skyline fades and the forest takes over.
I wandered beneath tall trees that filtered the sunlight into soft gold, past families picnicking, students sketching, and old friends playing cards beneath the shade. Birds called from above, and the occasional breeze rustled through leaves like a distant lullaby. A small boat drifted across the still waters of the lake, and for a moment, the chaos of the city felt far away.
Gongqing isn’t wild — it’s gentle. Designed but not sterile. Alive, but peaceful. It’s a reminder that even in one of the world’s busiest cities, nature still knows how to hold space for reflection, for play, and for stillness.
When Shanghai overwhelms, the forest is waiting.

Royal Botanic Garden Sydney – Scenic, Spacious, and Free!
The Royal Botanic Garden in Sydney is a green escape right in the heart of the city — and the best part? It’s completely free to visit! But what I loved most wasn’t just the garden itself — it was the walk leading up to it.
Coming from Circular Quay, the path wraps around Farm Cove, offering jaw-dropping views of both the Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. With the sea breeze in your face and that picture-perfect skyline, it’s honestly one of the most scenic urban walks I’ve done.
Inside the gardens, it’s calm and expansive — no entry fees, and thanks to the sheer size of the place, it never feels crowded, even with plenty of visitors around. Whether you’re stopping for photos, a picnic, or just a quiet walk, it’s a beautiful spot to unwind in the city.
