Koh Phi Phi📍 We day-tripped from Koh Lanta to the Phi Phi Islands to explore the top tourist spots. Maya Bay was our first stop & we had heard lots of negativity about it not meeting expectations. So our expectations were pretty low. Yes, there were crowds upon crowds of tourists. And yes, the toilets made me heave multiple times. However, the beach truly is beautiful. And the sand is so white and so so soft. Next, we went to Viking Bay - I found it interesting that this is where they harvest bird nests to make traditional Chinese soup?! How random. We snorkelled nearby & I’ve never snorkelled before. For my first experience, it surely was a frightening one😂 Firstly, I couldn’t get my snorkel to work. Constant mouthfuls of water & waves hitting me in the face. Finally, when I could breath & actually see what was beneath me, I instantly regretted it. Two Blacktip Reef Sharks in the water below. I have Ellie telling me that there were trigger fish in the water (not nice fish) & also saying that there was a barracuda (it was not, in fact, a barracuda). So, the entire time, I was freaking out :) After the second shark sighting, it was a fast swim back to the boat. We then headed to the main part of Phi Phi, Phi Phi Don, to have some lunch and look around shops- there was a lovely Burger King & McDonald’s facing eachother👯‍♀️ Finally, we went to Bamboo Island where we swam in the crystal clear water & had the absolute best time. I think Bamboo Island has the best water we’ve ever swam in. Maya Bay is a stunning bay with white sand and blue crystal water located in Thailand. It became very famous because of the movie “The beach” by Leonardo Dicaprio. The bay was closed for many years due to human activity such as littering , destruction and deterioration of the coral, damaging the environment in general…but after recovering, Maya Bay has finally reopened to tourists, although now the bay has strict rules that everyone has to follow. It is not possible to swim, anchor in the bay and there is a limitation about the amount of daily visitors. Stayed at Holiday Resort and booked the Maya Bay tour on the Longtail boat. Took 30 minutes to get to Maya Bay. Much different than I remember when I went in 2016. You can't swim in the bay anymore and there was way more tourists. A lifeguard blows his whistle at anyone that goes more than 10 feet from the shore. Given one hour to just look at the beach for photos. Felt like Bali. Just getting photos, but not getting to actually do anything. A little baby shark was swimming around my feet. All the little food stalls and walking through the jungle to a crappy unsafe ladder were replaced with boardwalks and stairs. Stopped at two destinations to snorkel, Nui Beach and Phi Leh Bay, which was fun. Also passed the viking cave, but nothing to see except the cliff. The whole trip was 845 AM to 1245 PM. Cost was 2000+ baht for the boat, which holds up to 4 guests. Additional 400 baht per person National marine park entry fee paid to driver. Could book a speed boat as well, but needs minimum of 6 guests. Not even 6 people booked, so it was a private Longtail boat tour. Magical as its name suggests. Picturesque location and a photographers' delight. The bay area is a beautiful spot to spend an afternoon, not allowed to swim here, but that is not required either. Just spend your time along the coast and enjoy the lovely localer. We did 2 trips to maya bay while in phi phi. The first was part of the shipwrecked cruise that brought us there in the late afternoon for about 25 mins. It was dull and busy and rushed. Nothing worth seeing. We were so disappointed we decided to go back and try again. The second time we rented a long tail boat at 6.30am and went over and it was just magical! An empty maya bay watching the sun come up in peace, it was just amazing. If you are going to see maya bay get up early and take a long tail boat or don’t bother going! #mayabay #thailand #heaven

We walked into the Speed Boat 3 engines name of boat “Andaman Surprise 03” First island we have been reached out Khai Island “ For 1 Hour “ and Enjoys till times have been quiet and staff have been found us while passengers ready at the boat but we are the lastly to taken in.. hahaha sorry.. - at 10:30 am . Snorkerling Paddle Board And Kayaking For 30 Mins at Pileh Lagoon by without Life’s Jecket felt since I was youngest - at 11:30-13:30 pm. WE HAVE BEEN THROUGH THE “ PHI PHI DON” where we have eaten lunch about Halal Buffet at Private and clearning Resturant -14:00 pm. We are at the HIGHLIGHT POINT “ MAYA BAY” for sightseeing 30 mins but another customers have been to snorkeling about there’s atmosphere here felt like Im in the central of mountain in the sea tallest wall beautify -15:00 pm. We are getting back to peir but we taken a break for a while at Monkey Beach for 15 Mins 16:00-16:30 pm. We reached out and getten back to the Royal Phuket Marina Pier by safety and fully of joyful of Andaman Surprise Company.
