Brought my colleagues here to try out some authentic Thai cuisine, and Ban Khun Mae didn’t disappoint. Tucked inside the iconic MBK Center in Bangkok, Starbucks Mahboonkrong may not be the largest outlet, but it more than makes up for its size with charm and thoughtful decor. I dropped by in the afternoon and was pleasantly surprised to find it relatively quiet — a rare luxury in busy Bangkok. Despite the modest space, I had no trouble finding a seat. The ambience was cozy, made even more inviting by the unique overhanging lanterns that added a nice visual touch to the café’s interior. It gave the place character, and I managed to snap some great photos while I was there. As expected, the coffee was consistently good, just like at any Starbucks around the world. The hotel exudes a distinctly hip and artsy vibe — fun, modern, and perfect for travelers who appreciate creative decor and a lively atmosphere. The Deluxe King Room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with well-appointed amenities and a pleasant city view. The colourful and uniquely designed really set it apart from more generic accommodations. The infinity pool area also deserves a shoutout — relaxing with a city view was a great way to unwind after a day of sightseeing and shopping.
