[Finnair Lounge (Helsinki Airport, Schengen area)] A comfortable, easy-to-use Scandinavian-style lounge
[Access with Oneworld Sapphire]
It is located at the top of the stairs near gate 20 in the Schengen area of Helsinki-Vantaa Airport. This time I entered with Oneworld Sapphire status. It is less crowded than the non-Schengen lounges, so it is convenient when you want to use it quickly.
[Compact but tasteful]
Simple design based on white. There are no large windows, but the soft indirect lighting creates a calm atmosphere. The number of seats is moderate, so there is always a moderate amount of space.
[Light self-service buffet]
The menu is mainly light, such as bread, yogurt, fruit, and salad. Each dish is of high quality and is enough for a short break. The coffee machine is also professional, so you can enjoy a cappuccino or cafe latte quickly.
[Full range of drinks]
In addition to soft drinks, beer and wine are also self-service and easy to use. There is also Nordic craft beer, so you can experience a little "local feeling".
[Simple workspace available]
There is a small work counter at the back of the lounge, equipped with power outlets and Wi-Fi. You can easily check emails or work on documents.
[Ideal for short transits]
Perfect for a quick stopover between trips within Schengen. This lounge is more for a "quick break and snack" than a long stay.

Plitvice Lakes National Park, Croatia
#thailandtrip Plitvice Lakes National Park is one of Croatia’s most stunning natural attractions, known for its cascading waterfalls and vibrant turquoise lakes. It’s a paradise for nature lovers and a favorite for #TravelHacks enthusiasts due to its affordability and breathtaking beauty.
The park features a series of interconnected lakes and waterfalls surrounded by lush forests. Visitors can explore a network of wooden walkways and trails, making it accessible to people of all fitness levels. Tickets are reasonably priced, with discounts available during the off-season or for early morning entries. A key #TravelHack is to visit in spring or autumn when the park is less crowded, and the colors of nature are at their most vibrant.
Another cost-saving tip is to bring your own snacks and water, as the on-site restaurants can be pricey. The park is vast, so planning your route in advance ensures you maximize your time. While some opt for the bus or boat rides included with admission, walking the trails is a free and immersive way to experience the park’s beauty.
Plitvice Lakes is a UNESCO World Heritage site and offers a serene escape from Croatia’s bustling coastal cities. Whether you’re a photographer capturing the stunning scenery or a traveler seeking tranquility, the park’s affordability and natural splendor make it a must-visit. With strategic planning and travel hacks like off-season visits, Plitvice Lakes offers an unforgettable experience without breaking the bank.
Lisbon’s Tram 28, Portugal
#travelhacks For an affordable and scenic tour of Lisbon, Tram 28 is a must-try experience that combines transportation and sightseeing in one. This iconic yellow tram winds through the city’s historic districts, offering travelers a chance to see landmarks without the cost of a guided tour.
Tram 28’s route covers major attractions such as the Alfama district, the Lisbon Cathedral, and the São Jorge Castle, making it a convenient way to explore. A single ride costs only a few euros, but a #TravelHack is to buy a 24-hour public transport pass. This pass allows unlimited rides on trams, buses, and the metro, giving you the freedom to explore at your own pace.
Riding early in the morning or late in the evening is another clever tip to avoid the crowds, especially during peak tourist seasons. Seating can be limited, so an off-peak ride ensures a more comfortable journey. For the best views, try to grab a window seat as the tram meanders through Lisbon’s narrow streets and hills.
Beyond the sights, Tram 28 offers a nostalgic experience with its vintage design and the rickety charm of yesteryears. It’s a perfect way to immerse yourself in Lisbon’s culture while sticking to a budget. However, be mindful of pickpockets, which can be a concern in crowded trams.
Whether you’re marveling at Alfama’s architecture or simply enjoying the ride, Tram 28 delivers an unbeatable combination of affordability and charm. For budget-conscious travelers looking for an authentic way to explore Lisbon, this tram ride is a highlight of any visit to the Portuguese capital.
Kotor, Montenegro
#travelhacks Tucked away along the Adriatic coast, Kotor is a stunning destination known for its medieval charm and breathtaking natural beauty. A budget-friendly alternative to Dubrovnik, Kotor offers a mix of history, culture, and scenery without the hefty price tag.
The heart of Kotor is its Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site filled with cobblestone streets, historic churches, and lively squares. You can spend hours wandering here for free, soaking in the atmosphere and admiring the architecture. A major highlight is the hike to Kotor Fortress, which offers panoramic views of the bay. While there’s a small entrance fee, it’s one of the most affordable activities that provides incredible value. A #TravelHack is to climb early in the morning or late afternoon to avoid the heat and enjoy fewer crowds.
Another affordable activity is a boat trip around the Bay of Kotor, where you can explore nearby gems like Perast or Our Lady of the Rocks. If you’re traveling on a budget, consider staying in guesthouses or apartments, which are significantly cheaper than hotels. Dining out is also relatively affordable compared to other European coastal destinations, with many restaurants offering local seafood dishes at reasonable prices.
Kotor’s charm lies in its balance of affordability and experience. Whether you’re enjoying a scenic hike, taking in the bay’s beauty, or exploring its historic streets, Kotor delivers unforgettable moments for travelers who want to make the most of their budget. With its welcoming atmosphere and numerous low-cost activities, it’s no surprise that Kotor is a favorite among #TravelHacks enthusiasts.
Santorini’s Hidden Beaches, Greece
#travelhacks Santorini’s hidden beaches, such as Vlychada and Koloumbos, provide a refreshing alternative to the island’s iconic but crowded spots. Known for their natural beauty and tranquil atmosphere, these lesser-known beaches are perfect for travelers looking to escape the tourist rush while staying within budget.
Vlychada Beach, also referred to as “Moon Beach,” is a unique destination characterized by its volcanic cliffs that create a lunar-like landscape. The beach is less commercialized, making it ideal for those seeking peace and quiet. With no entrance fees and minimal crowds, it’s a cost-effective way to enjoy the island’s natural wonders. A handy #TravelHack is to bring your own food and drinks, as dining options here are limited and can be pricey.
Koloumbos Beach, another hidden gem, is known for its dramatic cliffs and unspoiled surroundings. It’s accessible via a short hiking trail, adding an adventurous touch to your visit. The lack of organized sunbeds and cafes means you can enjoy the area without spending much. Renting a scooter or a small car is a smart way to explore these hidden beaches, as public transport often doesn’t reach them.
What makes these beaches truly special is their contrast to Santorini’s bustling main attractions. While Oia and Fira are known for luxury and crowds, Vlychada and Koloumbos offer serenity and affordability. They’re also great spots for photography, swimming, or simply relaxing with a good book. For travelers who value quiet escapes and smart budgeting, Santorini’s hidden beaches are a must-visit.
Jiufen Old Street, Taiwan
#travelhacks Pacific Ocean, Jiufen Old Street is a cultural and culinary haven that delights every traveler. Known for its enchanting lantern-lit alleys and nostalgic ambiance, Jiufen offers a budget-friendly experience packed with unique sights and flavors.
As you wander through the narrow streets, you’ll encounter a wide array of street food, tea houses, and quirky souvenir shops. From freshly made taro balls to hearty bowls of beef noodle soup, the local cuisine is both delicious and affordable. A #TravelHack is to visit early in the morning or late at night to avoid the crowds that gather during peak hours. This timing also allows you to fully appreciate the serene beauty of the lanterns glowing against the misty mountain backdrop.
One of Jiufen’s highlights is its tea houses, which offer breathtaking views of the coastline while serving traditional Taiwanese tea. Many of these tea houses have a “minimum spend” policy, so visiting in a group can help you share costs. Another hack is to take a public bus from Taipei, which costs significantly less than a private tour or taxi.
Jiufen is often said to have inspired the visuals of Studio Ghibli’s Spirited Away, adding a magical element to its appeal. Beyond the Old Street, nearby attractions such as the Gold Museum or Keelung Mountain hiking trails offer more to explore without breaking the bank.
Whether you’re a foodie, a culture lover, or simply seeking a unique travel experience, Jiufen Old Street is a destination that delivers charm and value. With its affordable offerings and tips like public transport and off-peak visits, Jiufen is a must-visit for budget-savvy travelers.
Travel on budget in Singapore? Isn't its expensive? Here’s the hack!
#travellerswonderland
1. One day transit is enough
The most expensive thing in Singapore is the accommodation, if you are in transit you can stay at the airport without booking accommodation. Changing airport is big and save to stay for free. There are a lot of snooze lounges and food stalls there.
2. Free Tour from Changi Airport
Do you know you can get a free tour if you are in transit in Singapore? Yes just download the Jewel Changi App and register for a free Tour. You will stroll the city by bus and they will bring back you to the airport.
3. A lot of free tourist places
You don't have to pay to visit tourist places like Merlion Park, Bugis Street, Fort Canning Tunnel, etc.
4. Transport: Never buy an MRT card
The price for an MRT card is $10 you only get $5 on it. This means the card it self is $5. Instead, you can use your debit or credit card. It's also easier.

🇸🇬🇲🇾 Travel Hack: Aeroline Bus from Singapore to KL
#travelhacks
Traveling from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur has never been easier or more cost-effective than with the Aeroline bus service. With a ticket priced at around $44, it offers a cheaper alternative to flying. Departing from Harbourfront Centre, the journey to the heart of Kuala Lumpur takes about 5 hours. Throughout the trip, passengers enjoy a comfortable ride with meals and hot drinks provided, enhancing the travel experience.
My personal experience on the Aeroline was exceptionally good, appreciating the convenience and comfort it offered. It’s an ideal choice for those who prefer a stress-free journey, directly arriving in the center of Kuala Lumpur, close to main attractions and accommodations.
For anyone considering a trip between these two cities, Aeroline offers a blend of affordability, comfort, and convenience, making it a top choice for travelers.

Prost zum Oktobfest. survived
5 hours of drinking litre beers is definitely a marathon and not a sprint. If you're at Oktoberfest, and the lines to the big tents are too long, you can enjoy a more traditional time in the Ode Wiesen. it's 4€ entry to the family friendly area and the tents will always have capacity. Then head to the big tents around 930pm when those who chose the sprint path have left for the night 😉#oktoberfest2024 #beer #munich #travelhack
