Khan el-Khalili: Lost in a Thousand and One Nights! ✨🧞♂️
#summervacay
Stepping into Khan el-Khalili felt exactly like falling right into the pages of One Thousand and One Nights! The atmosphere is simply captivating – a labyrinth of narrow alleys, vibrant stalls overflowing with spices, lanterns, jewelry, and textiles. The air buzzes with the chatter of merchants and the aroma of exotic spices, truly transporting you to an ancient bazaar.
And a little modern surprise amidst the antiquity? The Starbucks here is genuinely cheap! It's quite a contrast to find such a familiar brand offering such affordable prices in this historic setting.
It's an incredibly immersive experience, a feast for the senses, and a must-visit for anyone wanting to feel the magic of Cairo's old world.

Egypt Free Travel 🇪🇬 Black and White Desert Camping Under the Stars 2-Day Tour
📍Bahariya Oasis 🇪🇬 Egypt #黑白漠空
Black and White Desert Tour
❶Black Desert
The black basalt from the volcanic eruption has weathered for thousands of years to become the current state of black gravel on the golden desert.
The tour guide and driver took us to a hill and let us climb up by ourselves. The process of climbing the hill reminded me of the scene of Moses going up Mount Sinai to find God (I thought I should watch some related videos before going to Egypt, so I watched the story of Moses 😂)
It is very different from the general impression of the desert (the previous impression was probably full of sand like the movie Dune), the black desert is mostly black gravel and small black hills, and then it is so vast that you can't see the end.

Visiting the pyramids 🏛️
#closetonature
Visiting the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt was an absolute bucket-list experience! Standing in front of these ancient wonders, especially the Great Pyramid, left me in awe. The entrance fee to the Giza Plateau is about 240 EGP (around $8), and if you want to enter the Great Pyramid itself, it’s an additional 400 EGP. The sheer scale of these monuments is mind-blowing, and seeing the Sphinx up close added even more magic to the day.
The best part was exploring the desert surroundings on a camel ride, with the pyramids towering in the background—it felt like stepping back in time. Afterward, I visited the nearby Solar Boat Museum, which gave me an even deeper understanding of Egypt’s incredible history. This is one of those places you have to see to believe! 🏜️🐪🏛️

Egypt Travel 🇪🇬Must visit Khalili Market
#Khan el-khalili
After visiting the museum in the afternoon, we went to Khalili Market to have dinner and buy souvenirs. We took a photo with the owner of the papyrus painting shop (?!)
The interesting thing about shopping in Egypt is that when you think it’s already cheap, the next store is even cheaper! !
Just like when we bought an 8*10 papyrus painting at a seemingly high-end papyrus painting store (each painting was framed and hung for display!) for $120EGP (a group purchase price for six people), we thought it was reasonable, but later the price at a roadside stall was about $40~60EGP😅
#TravelTips
According to what was shared online, you should start bargaining from 70% of the asking price. Later, it was verified that it seemed to be about the same. The lowest price you can bargain down to is 70% off, and then you can't bargain any further!
