Left side Y - Long lake (Long Lake) 长海 - Colorful Pond 五彩池 Finished visiting the right side, got on the bus at approximately 15:30. Decided to take the bus down to the exit, didn't get off to visit anymore. Because there was a lot of walking, about 20,000 steps or more. I went to Jiuzhaigou from Chengdu by myself and it was very doable. I took the train from Chengdu East to Huanglongjiuzhai Train Station for 2 hours and then booked shuttle bus from trip to take me from station to Huanglong National Park. We get to play for about 4 hours and shuttle will take me to hotel near Jiuzhaigou National Park. If you have more than 4 people it might be better to book private car instead. Review of visiting parks in China How should we prepare ourselves to have more fun and have more energy while traveling? For those who are allergic to altitude sickness or easily get motion sickness, following this may depend on each person's body. But it worked for us 100%. I have panic attacks and get motion sickness very easily. This trip was very happy. I had no symptoms at all. The most important thing is that I didn't stay up late. I slept a full 7-8 hours. Eat well every meal. I will bring food and chocolate snacks to eat when going up the mountain. I don't recommend taking motion sickness pills because it makes you drowsy. Traveling is not bright and not fun at all. I hope everyone enjoys the trip. We have to go once in our lives. Don't be afraid. Jiuzhaigou is famous for its multi-tiered waterfalls and beautiful blue lakes. The weather here is cold all year round. We chose to stay near the park. You can walk to the park by car, about 500 meters away. You can buy tickets at the park or book in advance on the Trip app. Here, we will take a bus to visit various highlight spots. We chose to go to the highest point first and then go down to visit each lower spot. After walking around and taking pictures, you can wait for the bus to come back to pick you up at the same spot. Here, they also have Tibetan costumes for rent. Our rental price with makeup is 700 baht. If you go with a large group, you can negotiate the price. Take the shuttle bus to Jiuzhaigou Valley (cost: 51 yuan). Note: My Weixin couldn’t pay to their company account, so I paid cash to the driver. Alternatively, a taxi costs around 300 yuan (fits up to 4 people) and is faster. The shuttle bus ride takes about 1.5 hours, including one toilet break. Bring snacks and drinks for the journey. 10:30 AM: Arrive at Jiuzhaigou Valley. Grab a late breakfast—options include KFC, Chagee, Luckin Coffee, and local food. Eat quickly, as time is limited. 10:40 AM: Walk about 10 minutes to the Jiuzhaigou entrance. Ticket Purchase: Show your passport to buy tickets. Senior, student, and children’s tickets are available for all nationalities. Don’t forget to ask for a printed map—it’s very helpful! Exploring the Valley: Scan your passport, hop on the shuttle bus, and start your adventure. Top Spots to Visit (Half-Day Itinerary): Left Side of the Valley: Start with Long Lake and Colorful Pond, two of the most stunning spots in the valley. Nuorilang Tourist Centre: Return here for a late lunch. Right Side of the Valley: Skip Grass Lake and Swan Lake (visited on a previous trip). Visit Arrow Bamboo Lake, Panda Lake, and Five Flower Lake. Next, head to Pearl Shoal Waterfall, the largest and most beautiful waterfall in the valley. Continue to Nuorilang Waterfall, another majestic sight. End at Double Dragon Lake Waterfall. Skip Tiger Lake and Shuzheng Waterfall (visited previously). Heijio Valley Walk: Enjoy a scenic 3 km walk along the valley, ending at the last shuttle pick-up point to exit. Additional Tips: Drink vending machines and clean restrooms are available throughout the valley. The last shuttle bus back to Huanglong Jiuzhai departs at 6:15 PM. 8:30 PM: Take the train back to Chengdu East Station, arriving at 9:31 PM.
