Did you know?
Many Christmas markets actually end before Christmas 😞
Think about the New Year holidays in Japan! I don't think I've ever heard of a place that closes before Christmas... In other words, if you want to see a Christmas market, you'll need paid leave. . . Good news for you 👀✨ I'll teach you how to do it!
It can accommodate most people's New Year holidays (or you can just add a little paid leave), so
Try visiting a Christmas market in Luxembourg!
Because it's held for such a long period of time!
Most Christmas markets in European countries are open before Christmas or until the day itself. . . But Luxembourg is by far the longest! For example, in 2024, it was held from November 22, 2024 to January 1, 2025!
🚨They usually run until early January, but the dates change each year, so be sure to check before you go!

🎄Location and period
There are four major Christmas markets held in Luxembourg!
Place d'Armes:
Located in the center of the city, it is surrounded by restaurants and cafes. The entire square is decorated with Christmas decorations, and you can enjoy mulled wine and local cuisine.
Constitution Square:
Located on a hill, it is a great spot with a panoramic view of the city. It is also popular with families, with attractions such as a Ferris wheel and a merry-go-round.
Place de Paris:
It is characterized by a unified design with a row of wooden stalls. A giant trapeze is also installed to entertain visitors.
Parc Kinnekswiss:
A market held in a lush park. Local crafts and specialty products are lined up, and you can enjoy shopping while strolling.
🎅How to enjoy Christmas markets
Warm up with mulled wine:
In the cold season, warm yourself up with mulled wine (Weinstuba) provided at each market. The spicy taste is attractive! By the way, if you don't like alcohol, we recommend hot chocolate.
Enjoy local cuisine:
Try traditional Luxembourg dishes such as "Grönpelkischelcher". The fluffy texture is addictive 🤤
Enjoy attractions:
At the Place de la Constitucion and the Place de la Paris, there are playground equipment such as Ferris wheels and merry-go-rounds. You can enjoy them with your family and friends. By the way, be careful because it's hard to do after drinking alcohol lol
Enjoy shopping:
At each market, local crafts and Christmas ornaments are sold. It might be a good idea to find your favorite item!
