Discover this amazing Japanese restobar at Mont Kiara…if you can find the entrance! 😉 Ronin Japanese Restobar serves delicious food and the menu is really extensive! There is also a live band on most nights except Sunday night. Good for groups and even family get togethers. The portions are generous, service is exceptional, and the ambiance is a little mysterious! I was excited to try the sushi pizza which is a crispy rice base pizza…light and yummy and good for those who can’t take gluten. Price is about RM25-40 for regular dishes. Premium stuff would have a premium price but not crazy exorbitant. There’s a lady’s night too where a group of 4 get a bottle of wine (worth RM150?) for free with a minimum order of RM200. We ordered their 3-course menu. Choices were: Starter - Cameron Heirloom Tomatoes or Corn Consomme Main - Sous Vide Corn Chicken, Pan Seared Golden Pomfret, Plant Based Seafood Golden Fillet Omni or Wagyu Short Rib Dessert - Choux Praline (chocolate coulis) or Strawberry Texture (devonshire clotted cream) Our waitstaff described the dishes each time they were served - which was appreciated by our group. We were able to try all their starters and dessert. For mains, most of us had the wagyu short rib while one had the pomfret. While we love all the food we tried in the set menu, among our group’s favorite is definitely their sourdough bread with beetroot butter and salish salt. The ambiance is very nice. We were seated at the furthest section from the bar area which is the perfect location to have a lovely meal with friends. Ave. Price per head - 30Sgd (50Sgd if you are having cocktails/alcoholic beverages ;)) Rating - 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 (5 out of 5) How to get there - if not by car or taxi, it’s a short walk from Sentosa’s Beach station (take the Sentosa Express monorail from Vivo City) For me, the only thing missing while being there was reggae music blasting from the speakers to complete the cool vibes of the place (or any music one prefers listening to while chilling by the beach). I like the layout of this restobar. Majority is outdoor dining but there’s a small portion covered by a roof (refer to the end part of the video). There are several day beds and sun decks laid along the beach, just a few feet from the water. Select from the menu by scanning the QR code assigned to the table. After submitting your ordered food & drinks, you have to go to the cashier & pay right away. Take note of this in case you are used to eat first, pay afterwards system. I tried their fish and chips while my cousin had their burger. Big portions! What you don’t see in the picture though is that the pancakes are actually 3 pieces, stacked!!! So, if you have friends to share dessert with or you are not too full yet, you can order this dessert. Both desserts we ordered were delicious. However, we weren’t able to finish them because we were so full already! Of course, I also had their frozen margarita - a cold & refreshing cocktail best enjoyed by the beach.
