Trip Moments Recommendations
Amsterdam Van Gogh Museum Recommendation!
Not only can you see Van Gogh's works, but also those of his contemporaries like Bernard and Lacombe. You can also feel the flow of art history leading towards abstractionism, which is truly fascinating.
📌Three key tips:
1️⃣ Book your tickets in advance on the official website.
2️⃣ Morning hours are less crowded, making it easier to enjoy the exhibits.
3️⃣ Reserve an audio guide for a better understanding during your visit.
🎨 Highly recommended for art enthusiasts!
Planning to Visit the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam?
I highly recommend booking tickets for an early morning time slot in advance! When I visited, it was relatively quiet as it was the off-season, but after 10 AM, the crowd quickly grew, making it difficult to leisurely enjoy the famous paintings.
At this museum, you can admire Van Gogh's works all in one place, from his early practice pieces during childhood to his Paris period creations, and even the paintings he completed towards the end of his life.
If you're heading to Amsterdam, make sure to visit this incredible museum!
A journey through Van Gogh's time
It was a unique experience to follow Van Gogh's time, exploring the new artistic attempts that began in Paris during his era. The exhibition also featured works by other artists from the same period, allowing a deeper understanding of the evolving trends of the time and a closer look into Van Gogh's artistic world.
At the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, you can admire his artistic journey and the transformation of his works all in one place, which is truly impressive. If you ever visit Amsterdam, I highly recommend stopping by. 🎨
When you visit Amsterdam
I recommend checking out the Stedelijk Museum of Modern Art. They offer an audio guide which is helpful at first, but as you go along, it's fun to start interpreting the artists' intentions on your own. You can encounter impressive modern artworks that start with a question mark and end with an exclamation point. It's a great experience for anyone visiting Amsterdam.

I didn't have the opportunity to come across it often
#AprilTravelSupport At the Amsterdam City Museum in the Netherlands, I was lucky enough to see the works of African artists that I don't usually get to see often, which were exhibited under the theme of Where and for Whom? It was unique to see the works of many African artists, including Simomo Bouj and Va-Bene Elikem Fiatsi, so I recommend it to those who are interested. #amsterdamcity
His famous quotes too
#AprilTravelSupportWhen I say that I'm a peasant painter, that is really so; I feel at home there.
The phrases that Van Gogh said are written all over the museum, so it was good to appreciate his thoughts and paintings together when appreciating them, so I recommend that you read his famous quotes written on the walls along with the paintings.

Really diverse era
#JapanFlightEvent At the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, you can see Chagall's famous self-portrait with seven fingers, as well as works by KARL SCHMIDT-ROTTLUFF in addition to Leger and Van Gogh. If you come to Amsterdam, I recommend visiting the Stedelijk Museum, where you can see various eras and modern art works in one place. #amsterdamcity
At the Amsterdam Stedelijk Museum
#JapanFlightEvent When you see Miriam Cahn's work at the Amsterdam Stedelijk Museum, I highly recommend that you read the explanatory pamphlet before viewing it. It helps you understand the artist's deep meaning. I recommend it because it allows us to face the heartbreaking stories of refugees drowning in the high waves of the sea, which we have heard on the news but want to avoid hearing, and it leaves us with deep thoughts about what we can do for them. #amsterdamcity
Thinking about a warming planet
#JapanFlightEvent While appreciating the beautiful designs made from recycled materials, thinking about the warming Earth, I also came across a ceramic work using lacquer by Korean artist Seok-Hyeon Yoon. At that moment, I felt a surge of patriotism. I highly recommend the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, where you can also see works that take the environment into consideration. #amsterdamcity
By Igshaan Adams
#JapanFlightEvent Igshaan Adams's work was my favorite piece at the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam. The colors are really different when you see it in person. It was such a happy memory to see a piece of art reborn with a harmonious combination of carpet and metal that didn't seem to match, so I recommend visiting the Stedelijk Museum when you visit Amsterdam. #amsterdamcity
If you are traveling to Amsterdam
#JapanFlightEvent When traveling to Amsterdam, Netherlands, many people visit the Van Gogh Museum or the National Museum, but the Stedelijk Museum also has many different sections and collections to see, so I recommend that you set aside 2-3 hours for each museum and you can clear all three museums in one day. #amsterdamcity
Colors of the African Continent
#JapanAirlineEvent I felt like I had been on a trip because I could see the colors of the African continent in the artwork. The Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, Netherlands, has a diverse collection of artworks and also conveys a message that masters the present age, so it was a very informative visit, so I recommend it. #amsterdamcity
Female writer Marlene Duma
#JapanFlightEvent It was an honor to see the works of Marlene Duma, a famous female artist in modern art, at the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, Netherlands. A particularly impressive painting was a portrait of the murderer of Theo van Gogh's great-grandson, Van Gogh's brother... I thought it was the artist's own way of remembering shocking events.
#amsterdamcity
While watching
#JapanFlightEvent While visiting the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, Netherlands, I felt that the works were talking about the present and the future. There were many works related to war and many works that consider the environment, so I recommend it because you can think while viewing. #amsterdamcity
When traveling in Europe
#JapanFlightEvent When you travel to Europe, I recommend that you visit famous art galleries in big cities when you have time. In particular, I highly recommend the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, where you can see various famous works that you can't see in Korea, as well as lesser-known works. #amsterdamcity
Stedelijk Museum of Modern Art
#JapanFlightEvent I think the Stedelijk Museum of Modern Art in Amsterdam, Netherlands is the best for modern art. The building is nice, and when I visited, there were fewer visitors than other museums, so I was able to view the works comfortably, so if you like modern art, I definitely recommend visiting. #amsterdamcity
Without any addition or subtraction in the work
#JapanFlightEvent My heart ached as I looked at Miriam Cahn's work. I thought of the many people who became victims of violence when the war broke out. I can't even imagine the pain and suffering they must have felt, but the artist's style of showing it without holding back in her work makes me think about the message she might be trying to convey to us, the bystanders. I recommend that you prepare yourself and visit the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam. #amsterdamcity
Van Gogh to the world
#JapanFlightEvent I was able to learn about the letters Van Gogh wrote during his lifetime and his family. After Van Gogh and Theo passed away, I organized the letters and realized that Theo's wife, Johanna Van Gogh, was truly amazing for introducing Van Gogh to the world and allowing his paintings to shine. I recommend visiting the Van Gogh Museum. #amsterdamcity
Van Gogh
#JapanFlightEvent Van Gogh had been drawing a community where artists could interact, learn, and live together in Arles, France, and he realized this by communicating with Paul Gauguin and Emile Bernard. However, due to differences in opinion and his deteriorating mental state, it eventually fell through. The works drawn during this period can be viewed at the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, so I recommend visiting. #amsterdamcity
Van Gogh and the writer Emile Bernard
#JapanFlightEvent Although Van Gogh and artist Emile Bernard were 15 years apart in age, they shared a friendship and actively exchanged artistic opinions, so I recommend visiting the Van Gogh Museum when you visit Amsterdam. #amsterdamcity
About Van Gogh's friends and family
#JapanFlightEvent I was able to learn about Van Gogh's friends and family at the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, Netherlands. I recommend you visit the Van Gogh Museum because you can also see paintings by Van Gogh's friends! #amsterdamcity
Another attraction of the city
#JapanFlightEvent While walking late at night in Amsterdam, the city became quiet, so I was able to fully enjoy my own time in deep silence. If you are traveling to Amsterdam, I strongly recommend taking a walk during a time when there are fewer people. I recommend it because you can discover another charm of the city.
