#hotsprings Visiting the Blue Lagoon in Iceland was an absolutely surreal experience! 🌋💧 Located in a lava field near Grindavík and only about a 45-minute drive from Reykjavík, this geothermal spa is like stepping into another world. The milky-blue water is so warm and soothing, even on a chilly Icelandic day. Entry wasn’t cheap – around 9,990 ISK (about $70), but it was totally worth it for the relaxation and unique experience. The water is rich in minerals like silica and sulfur, which made my skin feel so soft and rejuvenated. 🌿💦 One of the coolest parts was the silica mud mask that’s included with the basic entry. Just slathering it on my face while floating in the warm water, surrounded by steam and the volcanic landscape, felt like pure luxury. The whole spa has a very modern design, with an outdoor bar where you can get a drink and just chill in the water. There are even caves and bridges to explore, making it feel like an adventure and a spa day all rolled into one. After my soak, I checked out the nearby attractions. The Reykjanes Peninsula has some fantastic geothermal areas to explore, like the Gunnuhver Hot Springs, which are only a short drive away. 🌋 Plus, the iconic Fagradalsfjall volcano is not too far if you’re in the mood for a hike and some breathtaking views of recent lava flows. The Blue Lagoon was the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring Iceland’s incredible landscapes. #2024wish Just had a very magical day at Heidelberg Palace, and it's like living in a fairy tale right in the center of Germany! 🏰✨ For €8, going into this old building was like stepping into a time that never changes. Sitting on the hill above Heidelberg town and Neckar River, this palace mixes Renaissance with Gothic design. The big beauty of the front and all the small details on every side take you to a long-lost time. It's like entering a picture from a storybook. 📖🏰 The Great Barrel, a huge wine barrel inside the palace, is very impressive to see. The big size is hard to understand, and stories about royal feasts make the experience more interesting. 🍷🛢️ Going up to the top gives amazing views of Heidelberg and nearby hills. The Neckar Valley looks like a beautiful picture, and you can nearly feel the history in the old walls. 🏞️🌅 Don't forget to see the Hortus Palatinus. It is a beautiful garden with terraces that used to be like paradise for royalty. The carefully kept grass, plantings and statues make a calm getaway in the palace area. It's a great place to sit and enjoy the atmosphere. 🌺🍃 After visiting your big house, go for a slow walk to the Old Bridge. It's one of Heidelberg's famous sites. The nice views of the Neckar River and cute buildings near it make for a fun walk. 🚶♂️🌉 End your day with a big German meal at nearby restaurant that serves food and drinks.
