I went to buy some "huge inari sushi" on the approach to the temple, but it was sold out! I guess I have to go in the morning. The Peace Tower in the temple grounds and the hydrangeas and red bridge in front of it were beautiful. The Annabelle near the toilet was also blooming beautifully. I didn't know about "Rugby Town Kumagaya" until I came here, but there is a monument at Kumagaya Station that tells you about the town's specialties. Kumagaya Station has ticket gates for the JR Line and the Chichibu Railway, and there are many souvenir shops and restaurants. In the center of the station is a bronze statue of Kumagaya (Jiro) Naozane. On the corner of the intersection on the left side of the station, there is a monument to "Rugby Town Kumagaya." On the way home, I enjoyed some of Saitama's famous sweets on the train, including the "Jumangoku Manju," famous for the phrase "It's too delicious," "Gokabo," "Haniwa Sable," and "Umeboshi Daifuku." "Umeboshi Daifuku" is a rare sweet that you don't see very often!
