Plitvice Lakes National Park (Nacionalni park Plitvicka jezera) is Croatia's most famous natural attraction, renowned for its karst terrace landscapes and stunning lakes and waterfalls. It bears some resemblance to China's Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong scenic areas. Covering a vast area, the park is divided into the Upper Lakes (12 lakes) and the Lower Lakes (4 lakes), making it a paradise for hiking enthusiasts. Due to its size, visitors typically explore the park over two days to fully enjoy the experience. The lakes are arranged in a band-like distribution with varying elevations between them. To explore the entire park, visitors need to combine walking with park buses and ferries. The Upper Lakes area is more open and less crowded, offering a tranquil and peaceful atmosphere. The Lower Lakes, located in a limestone canyon, feature more dramatic elevation changes and numerous waterfalls. The iconic postcard-worthy photo spots are found in the Lower Lakes area. It is recommended to book tickets online in advance, as you need to select a specific time slot and entrance for admission. On-site ticket purchases are limited to remaining time slots, which may make planning less convenient. A one-day ticket costs €23, while a two-day ticket is €39. The official website also offers package deals that include accommodation.

Plitvice Lakes National Park is mainly composed of 16 lakes distributed in a belt (12 in the upper lake area and 4 in the lower lake area) The lake area is mainly a Kester terrain, showing caves and lakes composed of limestone. Because of its unique topography and natural landscape, it was listed as a World Natural Heritage by UNESCO in 1979! Because Plitvice Lakes National Park is vast, plan your walking route with your friends in advance (note: parking hours are from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm) We decided to start from the Lower Lake District and buy tickets at the intersection beside the highway. (One-day and two-day tickets are available. If you want to visit both the upper and lower lake areas, it is recommended to purchase a two-day ticket) We first took the shuttle bus to the classic photo area, and then walked to the largest waterfall area to take pictures (the largest waterfall is located at the bottom of Plitvice Lakes National Park) If you arrive early, you can take pictures of the shadow of the mountain, so if you are a photography enthusiast, it is recommended to set off early. The Great Falls is 78 meters high and is the largest and most spectacular waterfall in the entire park! After leaving the largest waterfall area, we came to the boat station to take the boat In addition to the souvenir shop, there is also a toilet at the boarding point. After a short rest, we headed to the other side by boat. Along the way, you can see the clear water of the lake and the magnificent rocks on both sides of the lake. The photos you take casually are either reflection photos or unique scenery photos~ This place was also selected by CNN as one of the 15 secret places in the world that must be visited in life👍 I thought it was going to be very cold but it got hotter as I walked. It took me two hours to walk. Because I had to keep walking, I was sweating by the end and even took off my scarf. I especially choose to come at the end of October because I want to enjoy the beauty of the maple leaves at the same time😘👍 Fortunately, we can both walk to Shanghu (waterfall area) and Lower Lake area. If it happens to be the off-season, I don’t think there is a need to arrange a chat time) The waterfall is beautiful, but I actually think the lower lake is more powerful than the upper lake. D7 Come to Zadar for one night to see the sea organ and the sunset. This is a romantic town. The sunset was very beautiful. There were many people watching the sunset and drinking red wine by the Sea Organ. I took about a thousand photos in Dubrovnik on D8-9 The alleys of the small town are really beautiful After staying in the sea view room, I thought it was amazing. The first row of the hotel has a sea view and you can watch the beautiful sunset directly. We also finished sightseeing early and came back to enjoy the hotel facilities. It was definitely worth it. I came to PLITVICE LAKE National Park in October and found that the tickets purchased on site were only 10 euros. Why did I buy them online first? 23 euros😡There is also a limit on the number of people, which is even more outrageous.
