Low-key and inconspicuous ancient church
Andalusia Tour ~ Córdoba
We went to visit this church, one of seven churches founded in the Ayerchia region by Fernando III after he conquered the city. We found that it was closed and still went to see its information panel. The building dates from the late 13th and early 14th centuries. The building has a rectangular floor plan and three naves. From the outside, the entrance door and rose window are eye-catching with their Mudejar Gothic aesthetic. In the interior, which we could not visit, the churches, paintings and altarpieces are most striking. We are the only one left and he has to see that.

A very ancient sacred building at the end of Europe (southern end)
Andalucia Tour ~ Tarifa
The Church of San Mateo Apostol in Tarifa is an architectural gem that you simply cannot miss if you are in the city. Located in the heart of the Old Town, its majestic Baroque façade is one of its biggest attractions. Built in the 18th century, it is striking for its decoration and stonework details, which contrast with the plainness of the rest of the church.
The main doorway, framed by sturdy pillars and floral decorations, immediately catches the eye and reflects the exquisite craftsmanship of the time. Above it, a curved pediment and a window with lattice detail complete a structure that invites you to take a closer look. The balance between monumentality and detail makes this façade one of the most beautiful in the region.
Although its interior is also worth admiring, its exterior’s artistic richness and historical features make it stand out. This is undoubtedly a major point of interest for lovers of Tarifa's architecture and history.

Stunning towering buildings
Andalucia Tour ~ Cadiz
The ornate Cadiz Cathedral, with its yellow dome, is a Baroque-neoclassical building of stunning proportions. You can climb to the top of the cathedral's east tower, Torre del Reloj, from where you can enjoy a stunning panoramic view of the old town. The main facade consists of two octagonal towers in Baroque and Neoclassical styles. The dome is striking for its yellow glazed tiles, and on its base stand sculptures of the four evangelists.
The temple is in the shape of a Latin cross, with three naves and sixteen chapels. The nave is divided by oval columns with fluted Corinthian columns at either end. Of note is the elaborately inlaid wooden choir and, in the crypt below, the tomb of Manuel de Falla, a famous 20th-century Cadiz composer.
The museum is also worth a visit, containing priceless tables, paintings, ivories and sculptures, as well as tabernacles, chalices and other important gold and silver vessels, mostly dating from the 17th and 18th centuries.

The inconspicuous old cathedral next to the cathedral
Andalucia Tour ~ Cadiz
The Santa Cruz Church, also known as the Old Cathedral of Cadiz, dates back to 1262-1263 and was rebuilt in the 17th century in Mannerist and Baroque styles. Unfortunately for King Alfonso, the Gothic building was destroyed by the Anglo-Dutch troops who attacked and sacked Cadiz in 1596. It was considered a cathedral until 1838, when the city’s cathedral was transferred to Sé Nova. From that date in 1838 it was considered merely a parish church; nevertheless the architectural style was varied, although its Gothic imprint had not disappeared. It is undoubtedly one of the oldest and most beautiful temples in the city.

It's amazing for such a small city
Jerez Cathedral is an architectural gem that you cannot miss when visiting this city. Its impressive exterior and majestic interior will amaze you. The combination of Gothic, Baroque and Neoclassical styles makes it a unique masterpiece. Furthermore, its octagonal tower is a unique symbol of Jerez and offers stunning views of the city. A calm and spiritual atmosphere permeates the interior, making it an ideal place to reflect and appreciate the beauty of religious architecture.
If you’re staying in Jerez, we definitely recommend visiting the Gothic-style Jerez Cathedral and immersing yourself in the city’s history and culture.
The entrance fee is 8 euros and for 1 euro more you can go up the tower as you get a great view of the city. The cathedral provides an audio guide that helps to understand the history of the building.

A church with incredibly detailed stone carvings
Andalucia Tour ~ Jerez
A beautiful church that you must visit no matter what, the exterior is impressive and the interior is even more impressive. The construction details are exquisite and the craftsmanship is impeccable. Its structural hierarchy is very much from the late Southern European Renaissance, but there is a great line and ease to the way it is assembled to the base of the backrest system. All in all the building is brilliant, even though it has been overwhelmed by the disorderly modern urban layout. I prefer it to Jerez Cathedral and it is without a doubt the most beautiful thing I have seen in Jerez.

A model for revitalising historic buildings
Andalucia Tour ~ Jerez
This is a wonderful building that is an emblem of Jerez and a must-see if you come to the city. A stroll through the dreamy courtyard cloisters in the Mudéjar style is a magical journey through time and space, full of harmony and dating back to the 13th century. In addition, there are usually interesting music performances, wine tastings, exhibitions, etc. Even if there is nothing on display, I still recommend you to visit and walk around. Most of the events it hosts are usually free.

A small church that combines Mudéjar and Gothic art
Andalucia Tour ~ Niebla
The incredible Catholic Church has gone through many styles. It is said to have been a Roman temple, which was later converted into a Visigothic temple by the bishopric, rebuilt again in Mudejar in the 9th century, and built in Mudejar Gothic style in the 15th century. It is perhaps the only one of its kind in Spain and it is incredibly well preserved. Some impressive leaf-shaped arches. It features a patio where you can relax. Wheelchair accessible entrance. There is no admission fee to make your visit worthwhile.

"Brompton Holy Trinity Church 🌎 Feel the Grace"
#LondonAttractions
The dazzling golden decorations and exquisite and elegant architectural design of Brompton Holy Trinity Church make people feel as if they are in the exclusive palace of a royal aristocrat!
I subconsciously touched the wall beside me, hoping to feel some magical power of God, but was almost glared at by the sharp patrolling nun. Fortunately, I apologized to her in time afterwards and barely saved my life.
Later I joined the ongoing mass ceremony. Although I felt a little uncomfortable with the way of worship, looking at the devout believers, I couldn't help but be infected by their enthusiasm. Finally, when we were leaving, I couldn't help but humorously suggest to the nun next to me that perhaps we could add some "free hugs" services to the church, which I believe would definitely attract more tourists who come here to visit.
This magnificent church is a masterpiece of British church architecture. However, I hope that next time I visit, I will be able to feel God's grace more deeply. #Glorious #Religious architecture #London culture
