Andalucia Tour Extra ~ Gibraltar No visit to Gibraltar would be complete without visiting its museums. The museum itself is filled with small rooms and narrow passageways. The dimly lit artifacts in the lacquered cabinets, more reminiscent of what an 18th-century Victorian gentleman might have collected in his private study, belie the significance of the objects on display. Most of the objects on display are of great historical value, but what most attracts the visitor's attention is undoubtedly the grandeur and excellent condition of the Arab baths located on the lower floor of the museum. Unfortunately, no photography or video recording is allowed. It’s a world away from the modern museums you might have visited in various cities – may it always remain so. Andalusia Tour ~ Tarifa It is easily reminiscent of any other Arabian door, the Arch of Elvira in Granada and the Villa Adentro in Faro. Located at the intersection of Andalusia Avenue and Jerez Street, on the ramparts surrounding the city. This is the only remnant of the three gates of the ancient city wall. Its appearance is the most famous and attractive. It consists of an Arab arch dating back to the 13th century Benimeri territorial period and is guarded by two crenellated towers. Andalucia Tour ~ Cadiz The museum is in a beautiful square with big banyan trees, a very nice atmosphere and contains a wonderful archaeological collection which is very, very interesting. It covers several periods starting from the Neolithic period and ending with the Mudejar period. But the most special is the exhibition of works from the Phoenician era. The sarcophagus is spectacular, but the dowry, sculptures and jewellery are also interesting. There were mosaics and sculptures in the Roman era. Everything was explained very well. One room explained what a cemetery looked like and the different types of burials. The museum is not big, but of high quality. Admission is free. Its city buildings are full of European colors, and it has a strong cultural and artistic atmosphere. Unfortunately, time is tight, so we can only spend a day in this city. In the morning, we finished breakfast before setting off and strolled around the hotel. Even the street view is rare. It turns out that Plaza San Martin is nearby. I enjoyed these 30 minutes of free time! We also went to a football star restaurant called La Brigada Parrilla, which has many football star photos, jerseys, trophies, etc. for diners to appreciate and check in. We have been to Avenida da Silva, the Independence Monument, the Congress Square, the Plaza de Mayo, and the second most beautiful bookstore in the world, the Athenian Bookstore. It was converted from an opera house, so it has a magnificent atmosphere. The stage is also home to a coffee shop, which is very unique. I think it is worth staying for another hour, but unfortunately we were pressed for time and could only buy a few bookmarks as souvenirs. There are still many things to do in this capital, and if I were to come back, I would also visit Ushuaia, because when I go there again, it should be the day I go to Antarctica! #2024TravelReview

Unfortunately, two years later, upon returning to power, the king dissolved Parliament and reintroduced the absolute monarchy. From then until 1975, Spain experienced turbulent times, including a brutal civil war in the 1930s.
