Exploring the Hidden Wonders of Gunung Kelambu Lang: A Guided Jungle Adventure
#localtourguides #100waysoftravel #borneo #sarawak #kuching #bako #jungle
Gunung Kelambu Lang is a true wilderness experience, with no well-maintained trails, requiring hikers to climb and cross rivers. It's essential to wear water-resistant, non-slip shoes as your feet will be wet throughout the trek.
We hired a local tour guide from Kampung Sungai Bako to embark on an exciting 6-kilometer journey. The trek took about 2 to 3 hours, depending on our pace. Along the way, our guide explained why the river appeared reddish—the Pelawan trees, with their red bark, occasionally shed into the river, coloring the water. Despite its muddy look, the water was surprisingly clean, and we rewarded ourselves with a refreshing dip in the waterfall's cascade.
Our guide, a local Malay who spoke fluent Chinese and Hakka, made the journey even more engaging by sharing fascinating stories of the area's natural wonders. It was an adventure filled with nature, culture, and a peaceful retreat at the waterfall.

Nature lovers! ♥️🌈🌴
Bako National Park, SARAWAK!
To all nature lovers who loves beaches, forests, animals!! This place is simply amazing and you'll never regret visiting here! To get there, you need to take a boat (RM200/boat) which can accommodate about 5-6pax and the boat will take you to the park's HQ! On your way to the HQ, you'll see many sea stacks and beautiful mountains and etc! Once you reach the park, you've to register yourself and they'll give you a map for trekking! There's 16 beautiful trails and trust me it's very easy to navigate as the trails are all colour coded. Once you complete the hike, you'll reach to this view! Along the way, you get to see the mangrove forest, proboscis monkey which is endemic to Borneo, silver-leaf monkeys, long-tailed macaques, monitor lizards, bearded pigs and a variety of birdlife. It's worth it.. #Nature #Bako #Dontmissit
