Enjoy a day exploring the Drumheller Valley and take in its spectacular scenery and rich, unique heritage. The Dinosaur Capital of the World and the Royal Tyrrell Museum are Canada's only museums dedicated entirely to ancient creatures. Aptly named, Horseshoe Canyon is a glacier-carved “U” shape surrounded by golden prairies. The Horseshoe Canyon formation is composed of sand and clay, with a strong, solid capstone protecting a softer underlying floor, creating its distinctive mushroom-like shape. #drumheller #Hoodoos

This is absolutely mind-blowing!!! One of the best museums in North America I've ever been to. My son is fascinated about dinosaurs and history. Lots of exhibits and interesting displays, allowing us to spend at least 3 hours to explore. We enjoyed the time and appreciated the efforts and works that all the researchers and staff put together. Worthwhile to drive from Calgary to make a visit. #drumheller #familytrip

It was amazing to see the phenomenon in Canada!!! It may take a while to climb up but it all worth the time and effort to reach the top for the breath-taking views. Do geared up with proper hiking shoes given the trail is steep and slippery, in particular going down. Climbing up is still manageable but it takes much longer to get down. #familytrip #drumheller #triptocalgary

Such a cool experience. The dinosaur is huge. We dropped by when we were heading to the Royal Tyrell Museum. There's a stair to go up to the top of the dinosaur to see the city view from its mouth. This is quite fun and an adventurous activity for kids. There are quite a few dinosaurs in the area as well. Take a quick stroll along the street and the gift store, it was quite fun to take pictures and tour around the area. Worthwhile to make a visit. #calgary #alberta #drumheller
