📍Qing Ming Shang He Tu Let's follow the footsteps of Chinese period films at Hengdian Studio. We will spend a full day here at "Qing Ming Shang He Tu". This place opens from morning until evening. The scenes here are in the ancient Chinese style and you will see familiar scenes from the series. Plus, there are often drama crews here to film. You might actually see them filming. When we went, they were filming and they blocked off the area to be filmed. And the most prominent building was closed to set up the scene as well. Until the series aired, we found out that it was the scene of "Zhen Tower" in "Legend of Zhang Hai" that Xiao Zhan starred in. We went there about 2 days before Xiao Zhan started filming this series. Very nice museum, free entry, no reservation needed, open 9-17.00 summer time. A lot of new and antique art pieces, furniture, decorative architectural details made of wood. Descriptions in Chinese and English, except one, very interesting hall on the first floor [only in Chinese]. Very peaceful atmosphere, few visitors, pleasant music in the background [one of the tracks 'Endless love']. The interior of the building is beautifully decorated. Luzhai is only few kilometers away and can be visited the same day. From Hengdian taxi costs ~ 35 rmb. #familytravel #hengdian

I have been watching c-dramas for years and this year I have finally visited Hengdian - the hollywood of China. As of 2024, there is still no bullet train to go to Hengdian directly. For this trip, I have availed a day bus tour from Hangzhou. The total shooting location we visited is 3 shooting location. I initially thought the place would be like a theme park where everything is walkable inside the location. However, most of the location are quite far from each other and the best way to travel is via car. My favorite shooting area would have been the replica of Forbidden City.
