The first day, we arrived at the hotel in the afternoon around 4 P.M, we put our goods in the hotel and prepared to see the Sunset on the top of the mountain. We bought the tickets in the evening and the date will expire until tomorrow night. It costed 37$ per person. The second day, we woke up early morning to see the sunrise at the Angkor wat, and spent time and go sightseeing round the Angkor wat place to place. Don’t worry, the driver will transport you. Especially at night you can spend time night market. There are a lot of Souvenirs and different sorts of restaurants and test, but mostly similar to Thailand. The third day, we are going to flooding market,it costs 18$ per ticket. it is far away from Siem Reap about 5 klm. but the time when went there, unfortunately there is not the water time. This bustling area is a melting pot of activity, brimming with an eclectic mix of bars, restaurants, shops, and bustling markets. During my visit, I found myself drawn to the riverside market area, a fantastic spot to browse local crafts and souvenirs, offering a more authentic shopping experience than some of the more tourist-centric shops directly on Pub Street itself. It's definitely worth venturing a little further for unique finds and potentially better prices. Traveling with friends who have specific dietary requirements always adds a layer to trip planning, and Siem Reap thankfully offered some excellent halal options. For my Muslim companions, "Muslim Family Kitchen" was a real find, serving delicious and authentic local dishes prepared according to halal standards. Surprisingly, "Elia Greek Kitchen" also proved to be a great choice with several halal-friendly items on their menu. When it came to nightlife, "Temple Bar" stood out with its energetic, club-like atmosphere and electric vibes – definitely the place to head if you're looking to dance the night away. A crucial tip for navigating Siem Reap is understanding the currency situation. While Cambodia has its own currency, the riel, the US dollar is overwhelmingly used for most daily transactions. However, be prepared to often receive smaller change in riel, which can make things a little confusing. My strongest recommendation is to bring US dollars, ideally in smaller denominations, as exchanging riel outside of Cambodia can be difficult and may not yield a favorable rate. For getting around, I found the Grab app to be incredibly convenient and reliable. Booking rides through the app and linking it to a credit card made transportation seamless and felt much more secure than hailing tuk-tuks directly on the street, where trustworthiness can sometimes be a concern. #cambodia #cambodia🇰🇭 #siemreap

He shared a humorous anecdote from his secondary school days, recounting an unfortunate head-bumping incident within the temple grounds. His warning proved invaluable, prompting me to remain mindful of the low lintels as I moved through the ancient citadel. Last week, I finally had the profound experience of visiting Angkor Wat, a destination that had long been on my travel wish list. Even before setting foot on Cambodian soil, its significance was clear – the majestic silhouette of Angkor Wat is proudly emblazoned on the national flag itself, a testament to its deep cultural and historical importance to the nation. Upon arrival, it quickly became apparent why this sprawling temple complex has earned its place as a UNESCO World Heritage site, drawing visitors from across the globe in awe of its grandeur. The very name "Angkor Wat" holds meaning, offering a glimpse into its past. "Angkor" translates to "capital," while "Wat" simply means "temple." Built in the 12th century, the sheer scale and intricate artistry of Angkor Wat are breathtaking. It's truly impressive how this ancient structure has stood so majestically for centuries, a testament to the ingenuity and craftsmanship of the Khmer empire. What makes Angkor Wat even more fascinating is its historical significance to both Hinduism and Buddhism. Kirirom, located in the Cardamom Mountains of southwestern Cambodia, is a serene and picturesque destination known for its cool climate, lush pine forests, and breathtaking natural beauty. Often referred to as Kirirom National Park, this area is a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. I stayed one night there to wrap up my Cambodia trip.
