A must-visit pilgrimage site for fans of Three Kingdoms history - Chengdu Wuhou Temple.
Among the many Wuhou Temples, the Wuhou Temple in Chengdu is the only one in the country that commemorates Liu Bei, Zhuge Liang, Guan Yu, Zhang Fei and other emperors and ministers. It is also one of the most influential Three Kingdoms relics museums in the world.
The Wuhou Temple covers a large area, with a beautiful and harmonious architectural layout, towering ancient trees standing in the courtyard, and a quiet and elegant environment. The entrance ticket is 60 RMB and the park is divided into three parts: the cultural relics area, the garden area, and Jinli.
The cultural relics area, namely the Three Kingdoms historical relics area, is mainly composed of Huiling, Han Zhaolie Temple, Wuhou Temple, Sanyi Temple, etc., with the Wuhou Temple being the main building. The temple houses 50 statues of Shu Han heroes such as Liu Bei and Zhuge Liang, and houses a collection of thousands of ancient cultural relics such as bells, drums, tripods, calligraphy and paintings, and tens of thousands of classic books on the Three Kingdoms culture. It can be said to be a great collection of the Three Kingdoms culture.
The Garden Area (Three Kingdoms Cultural Experience Area) and Jinli (Jinli Folk Customs Area) are located on the west and east sides of the Wuhou Temple respectively. The main purpose is to visit the Three Kingdoms Historical Relics Area, but after all, it is a popular tourist attraction in Chengdu, so it is recommended to enter the park as early as 8 am to avoid long queues as the night goes on.
