Wildlife Galore! 3 Days in the 1500km² Masai Mara!
Getting There - Masai Mara National Reserve is approximately 5hrs drive from Nairobi. You can drive or take a flight to any of the air strips in the park.
Attractions - Masai Mara National Reserve is 1500km². Given the size of the park, you never have to wait to spot interesting wildlife. The wildlife ranges from the secretary bird, vultures, ostriches, lions, cheetahs, leopards to hippopotamuses.
The chances of finding a pride of lions hunting or feasting are very high.
I was very lucky to have spotted the big 5 of the Mara including the elusive leopard.
Vehicles are equipped with radios which the guides use to communicate with other guides to share locations of wildlife and in case of emergency.
Hotels - There are several options available. I stayed at Mara Legends Camp. They have tents set up with toilets and showers. The team at the camp is very attentive to guest needs.
Food & Restaurants - There is a main restaurant and a bar. At the main restaurant they served western and Indian cuisine during the 3 days I stayed there. The food was delicious and the chef accommodates to any special requests.

You witness a world awakening, herds of elephants, wildebeest and giraffes to name a few. The breathtaking views of this endless landscape will leave everlasting memories with you.
My safari was arranged by Hot Air Africa Eco Adventures. Once the safari is complete, they take you to an amazing breakfast in the Mara.

Getting There - I stayed at Naivasha Sopa Lodge for the night and drove to the lake the next day. it's about a 30 minute drive from the lodge.
Attractions - High density of birds. A perfect location for birding. You take a boat on to the lake for a ride and spot all sorts of birds; fish eagles, kingfishers, Egyptian geese, heron and many more. As a bonus, there are a lot of hippos in the lake.
After about 30 minutes on the boat, you will reach Crescent for a walking safari. They have zebras, giraffes, impalas and buffalos to name a few.
Hotels - Naivasha Sopa Lodge. Beautiful lodge with cozy rooms and access to Lake Naivasha. They also have zebras and waterbucks roaming around in front of the rooms.
Food & Restaurants - The lodge has an excellent restaurant. They had western and Indian cuisine available the night I stayed.

Kenya|Nairobi International Airport🇰🇪
Although the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport is not very large, it has complete facilities and is quite comfortable for short to medium-term transfers. The airport has duty-free shops, restaurants and private VIP lounges, allowing passengers to spend their waiting time comfortably.
I particularly like the patterns of African animals on the large glass in the waiting room, which blends in local customs without losing its beauty. The sunlight shines through, making the whole space look warm and bright, which is very distinctive. Some areas are also equipped with charging stations and simple reclining chairs. Although the number is limited, you can feel the thoughtful consideration for transit passengers.
It should be noted that connecting flights may sometimes be delayed due to heavy traffic at the airport, so it is recommended to leave ample time to avoid missing the subsequent flight. However, in Africa, this is an airport with relatively good service and management performance.
