Morocco Pavilion Magic in Putrajaya ✨🏛
Even though the Morocco Pavilion was closed for interior visits on the day we went, I’d still say it was worth the stop! The architecture outside is already a masterpiece on its own — with intricate details, and grand arches. 📸✨
We weren’t the only ones making the most of the exterior charm — there were actually two couples doing wedding photoshoots right there, which says a lot about how beautiful and photogenic the place is. 💍👰♀️📷
Even without stepping inside, we managed to get some lovely photos and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. 🌿 If you're into photography or just love aesthetically pleasing spots, this one’s still a solid add to your Putrajaya itinerary — open or not! 🌇📍

Serenity in Pink: A Peaceful Spring Morning at Putra Mosque
#springitinerary #PinkMosque #PutraMosque #PutrajayaMalaysia #MorningGlow #MosqueByTheLake #MalaysiaTravel #CulturalLandmarks #IslamicArchitecture #ScenicMalaysia
I visited the Putra Mosque — also known as the Pink Mosque — in the morning, and it was the perfect time to take in its elegance without the crowd. The soft morning light gave the rose-colored dome a gentle glow, beautifully reflected in the calm waters of Putrajaya Lake.
The atmosphere was peaceful and spiritual. I explored the main square and admired the blend of Islamic architecture and Malaysian cultural motifs in the mosque’s design. A light breeze swept across the lakefront, and the serenity of the space made it feel like a retreat from the city’s rush.
Fewer visitors in the early hours meant more space for photography and quiet reflection. I also appreciated how well the mosque’s beauty harmonized with its natural surroundings — truly a gem in Putrajaya.
Travel Tips:
• Best time to visit: Morning (before 10:00 AM) for cooler weather and fewer crowds.
• Dress modestly: Robes and head coverings are provided for visitors.
• Non-Muslim visitors welcome: During non-prayer hours; check timings in advance.
• Best photo spots: From across the lake, or the plaza directly in front of the mosque.
• Arrive early for calm ambiance: Especially great for photography or reflection.
• Watch for prayer hours: Some areas may be closed temporarily during these times.
How to Get There:
• By car or Grab from Kuala Lumpur: Around 40–45 minutes via highway.
• By train + taxi: Take the KLIA Transit to Putrajaya Sentral, then a short taxi or Grab ride.
• By tour: Often included in half-day or full-day Putrajaya tours.
• Combine with: A morning walk around Putrajaya Lake, or visits to Perdana Putra and Putrajaya Botanical Garden.
A day in Putrajaya.
We still had a couple of days left before our flight to Cambodia, and after having spent 2 months in KL, we decided to stay Putrajaya for a bit and check it out. It turns out that a day of exploration was sufficient. Here's what we did:
1. We climbed the Putrajaya steps and spent some time playing in the park at the top, there is also a botanical gardens nearby.
2. A late lunch at Tong Yuen Chinese Restaurant, the food was very delicious, with large portion sizes that are perfect to share.
3. As the sun began to drop low in the sky, we took a slow stroll around the area and towards the Putrajaya Mosque, which we had a gorgeous view of, from across the water.
4. Make your way over to the square outside the Putrajaya mosque, it really comes alive in the later afternoon and evening, with vendors selling snacks and light-up toys, kids are playing all around and people sit and chat as they watch the sun set.
5. The bridge offers a beautiful view of the sun setting, with the silhouette of the mosque and the beautiful sounds of prayer echoing gently through the air, it's rather awe-inspiring.🤩
6. After the sun had set, we made our way back to the park we visited earlier as there was an area called the "Secret garden". Which lights up beautifully at night. There are some food stalls there too.

If you are in Kuala Lumpur don’t miss visiting this place: Perdana Putra 🇲🇾
Nestled just 25km south of Kuala Lumpur, the planned city of Putrajaya is a true architectural marvel waiting to be explored.
At the heart of Putrajaya lies Putra Square, a stunning public plaza dominated by the magnificent Putra Mosque. 🕌 The square's centrepiece is the iconic 'Millennium Monument', a 36-meter tall obelisk symbolizing Malaysia's progress and unity.
Nearby, you'll find the Perdana Putra, the grand administrative complex that houses the Prime Minister's Office. 🏛️ This impressive building, designed in a contemporary Islamic style, is flanked by beautifully manicured gardens and serene water features.
As you wander through Putra Square and admire the Perdana Putra, be sure to take in the breathtaking views of Putrajaya's lakes and bridges. 🌉 It's the perfect spot for a leisurely stroll or to simply sit and soak in the tranquil atmosphere.
Don't forget to bring your camera - the photogenic architecture and scenic landscapes of Putrajaya make it a must-visit destination for any traveler to Malaysia. 📸
