Self-guided China tour
Coming to China is not as difficult as you think. Before traveling, let's study the expenses and the city we will go to, including the transportation system first to make it easier to plan the trip. After that, we download the necessary apps in the country and various related apps. I use the following apps:
-DiDi, a car-hailing app in China. You have to download the Chinese version to make it easy to use.
-Alipay, a payment app similar to TrueMoney. You have to verify it before linking your cards to make payments. This is very important. Almost every shop accepts it.
-Railway12306, a train booking app for traveling across cities in China. It is convenient and easy to use, and there are no fees. However, you have to verify your information first. It is not difficult. There are some people who recommend it in groups.
-MetroMan, an app to check the train stations in China. You can take any line to get there. It is very suitable for traveling in the city. It is easy to use.
-Amap or BaiDu map apps can be used to find restaurants, places to eat, and hotels.
-WeChat apps can be used to contact accommodations, hotels, or people here because WeChat has automatic translation for us, so it is very easy.
Something like this:
—Day 1, we first arrived on a flight from 4 am to 6 am. Then take the subway from the airport to Kunming Railway Station, then take the train to Dali City. We stayed here the first night and went to #Chongcheng Pagoda Temple and #Dali Old Town.
—On the second day, we asked the hotel to call a car to take us to Dali Railway Station to continue to Lijiang. When we arrived in Lijiang, it was already afternoon. We walked around looking for food and sightseeing in #Lijiang Old Town before going back to sleep for a long time. We gathered our strength for the morning trip at 7am.
—On the third day, we booked a tour to visit the park, such as watching the Lijiang Show, Jade Dragon Mountain, and Blue Water. However, we requested to go to the Jade Water Temple again. The total cost was the whole day. The car picked us up at the hotel at 7am and we went according to the plan. It was very private. They recommended taking us to the specified places and gave us advice on various things.
—On the fourth day, we checked out and took the train to Shangri-La. The hotel found another car for us as usual. When we arrived, we arrived early and arrived at 10am. We left our bags at First, the hotel, then call a 150cny car to take you to the foot of the mountain nearby, then come back to check in at 2 pm, then walk around the old town and the temples there, at night find something to eat, then sleep.
—On the 5th day, we left early in the morning by train from Shangri-La to Kunming from 7 am to 12 pm. Then we left our bags and walked around Kunming, then finished at 5 pm and went to the airport because the flight back was at 8 pm.
In general, most of the expenses were spent on transportation because we focused on comfort 555. All high-speed trains into the city. In fact, there are buses too. It cost me 15,000 baht for one person without walking, including tickets, accommodation, activities, transportation, and food. It was very worthwhile. #Kunming #Dali #Lijiang #Shangri-La #Traveling in China by yourself 🇨🇳
