🇨🇳 Northeast-China Tour Days 17-18 🗓 January 24-25, 2025 (1 night, 2 days) Booked a luxurious stay at Changbai Mountain Wanda Yuehua Hotel for 300,000 KRW, which also included package admission tickets. This allowed access to the ski resort and the Halla Mountain hot springs. Spent the afternoon skiing until 4 PM, and later in the evening, relaxed in the hot springs. Despite the chilly winds, soaking in the warm waters was a perfect way to unwind and relieve fatigue.

🇨🇳 Day 17 of the Northeast-North China Tour 🗓 2025.01.24 The Changbaishan Lixiang Holiday Hotel is very close to the Baekdu Mountain West Pavilion Tourist Center, so you can arrive early in less than 5 minutes on foot. We purchased shuttle bus and snowmobile tickets per person at the Baekdu Mountain West Pavilion Tourist Center, took the shuttle bus first, and since the slope of Baekdu Mountain West Pavilion is gentle, we could go up quickly, so we got off the shuttle bus after about an hour and took a snowmobile to the summit, Tianchi, and quickly went up. We visited Changbaishan mountain at last! During our stay we explored the area around our hotel, and were able to find a reindeer park where you can feed to reindeer and take some photos. There was also an opportunity to hold an artic fox and take some photos too, it was really too cute! Around Changbaishan, we found the taxi services are a bit slow, so it’s better to take a personal number from any taxi driver you meet in order to ensure a lift when you need one. As well as this, any delivery service of food or necessary items on 外卖 took at least 40-60 minutes to arrive, even if the store was less than 1km away! It was a little inconvenient. The highlight of the trip was indeed visiting Heaven’s Lake! Even though we left early, by the time we arrived at the top of the mountain there was a huge crowd, making it difficult to take some photos. #Nature attractions Changbaishan (Changbaishan, Jilin province) 24/10/2024 Tianchi (Tianchi) is a lake on the crater of the volcano. Changbai (Changbai) is the border of China and North Korea. On a clear day, we can see the water in this lake is blue and beautiful. 1) Visiting the park 1.1) The side we went to was the West Slope (西波) side. 1.2) We booked tickets from the park's miniprogram wechat. You must specify the time to enter the park. You cannot enter before/after the reserved time. 1.3) Start at the tourist center. Use your passport to scan and enter. 1.4) Then take a big bus to the point where you will change to a small bus. Travel for ~ 1 hour. 1.5) When you reach the transfer point, you have to take a small bus. After reading everything, I finally understood. On October 4, 2024, I took a day tour van from Yanji and it took about 2 hours to get to the Baekdu Mountain Bukpa Tourist Center. It was China's National Day that day, so of course there were a lot of visitors, so fortunately there were a lot of shuttle buses. I took a shuttle bus up to Jangbaek Falls and looked at the waterfall, and the hot air was blowing and I saw a lot of coal, and then I took a van to the top of Baekdu Mountain and saw Cheonji. I looked around Cheonji at the top, and the temperature was close to 0 degrees at the time, so there was a lot of cool wind, and I took a van again and went down safely. #ChinaTravelMoment #BaekduMount #长白山

With hardly any info available in English and little clear info available in Chinese, here’s my experience of Changbaishan & Tianchi. • You CAN just show up on the day BUT you should book tickets in advance on the WeChat account if you can. It’s only in Chinese but if you have someone to help you translate - it’s the exact same way you’ll buy a ticket if you just show up on the day and this way you guarantee getting a ticket. • ONLY WeChat pay or card. No cash, even in person. • Tianchi is extra cost (but no additional booking needed, just add it when purchasing your ticket). • Tianchi closed on bad weather days. • Stay in Erdaobaihe, go to north area yourself and next day book a trip to west area with Trip.com. • You’ll need a whole day here. Lots to do and lots of waiting around for the buses at various drop off points. There’s no real maps or sineage that are useful but at the same time there’s no way to go off the tourist trail. Just follow everyone and you’ll get to see everything! • Not many food options so bring some picnic. • Recommend going earlier as some attractions close at 2:30 (incl.
