A Famosa Malacca City ✨🥰
Everytime come to Malacca, this is my must visit place. The most historical place in Malacca. Really adore the building structure. Very unique. ✨
Known as Porta de Santiago, the name A’famosa means the famous in Portuguese. It was originally built by the Portuguese. The place is quite clean, well kept and well maintained by the local authorities. Best time to come is early morning when it is still cool and breezy while not much people around. Located at the foot of St Paul hill, there is stairs leading to St Paul Church behind the place. 👀
During my last visit, there was even a busker singing inside the church remnants at the top the hill. Love his voice and his choice of songs. Lots of improvement has been made to beautify the hill area. Definitely one of the must visit attraction in bandar Melaka. 👍🏻

Sultan Abdul Samad Building: Kuala Lumpur's Majestic Icon
#traveldiaries
Standing tall in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, the Sultan Abdul Samad Building is one of Malaysia’s most iconic landmarks. Built in 1897 during the British colonial period, this stunning structure is a blend of Moorish, Indo-Saracenic, and Gothic architectural styles. Its striking copper domes, arched windows, and 41-meter-high clock tower make it one of the most photographed buildings in the city.
Located along Jalan Raja, the building originally housed British administrative offices and is now home to Malaysia's Ministry of Communications and Multimedia, as well as the Ministry of Tourism and Culture. While it no longer serves its original purpose, its grandeur remains intact, symbolizing Malaysia's rich history and cultural diversity.
Walking up to the building, you can’t help but admire the intricate craftsmanship, from the red-bricked facade to the curved arcades. It’s particularly breathtaking during the day, when the sunlight bounces off its copper domes, and at night, when it’s beautifully illuminated against the backdrop of Kuala Lumpur's skyline.
Adjacent to Dataran Merdeka, the building is at the center of Malaysia’s historical significance. It’s where the Union Jack was lowered, and the Malaysian flag was raised for the first time on August 31, 1957, marking the country’s independence. The Sultan Abdul Samad Building remains a must-visit for anyone interested in Malaysia’s history or those simply looking to marvel at its architectural beauty.
