Hokkaido’s Famous Butadon in Singapore Butahage is at Tampines!
If you love Japanese food, Butahage at Century Square is a must-try! Known for their signature Hokkaido-style butadon (grilled pork rice bowl), this spot serves up a comforting and satisfying meal.
💰 Price: Ranges from $13.90 to $21.90, depending on the portion and toppings. Definitely on the slightly premium side, but worth it for the quality of ingredients.
🥩 Food: The pork slices are thick, tender, and coated in a smoky, caramelized tare sauce that’s both sweet and savory. Every bite melts in your mouth! The rice is fluffy, perfectly complementing the pork. I got the Premium Obihiro Butadon ($21.90), which comes with extra pork slices, and it was super filling! They also offer add-ons like onsen egg (+$1.80) for extra creaminess.
⭐ Personal Thoughts: I’ve always wanted to try authentic Obihiro-style butadon, and this did not disappoint. The pork is grilled over charcoal, giving it that deep, smoky aroma. The portion was generous, and the flavors were well-balanced—not too sweet, not too salty. Paired with a hot bowl of miso soup, it really felt like a comforting meal straight from Japan.
📍 Location: Butahage, Century Square, #B1-12, Tampines.
If you're a fan of Japanese grilled pork rice bowls, this is definitely worth trying! Would 100% return when I’m craving a hearty, flavorful butadon. 🍚🔥
