Lunch at Kintamani: Came for the Food, Stayed for the Volcano Drama 🌋
Booked a lunch spot with “a nice view” — didn’t realize I’d be dining face-to-face with an actual volcano.
There I was, eating fried rice like a queen, while Mount Batur just sat there in the background like,
“Yup, I’ve erupted before. You’re welcome for the vibes.”
The breeze? Chef’s kiss.
The food? Spicy enough to make me question all my life choices.
The view? So good I forgot to Instagram my meal — almost.
Also, tried to take a cute selfie but the wind decided to turn my hair into a Balinese bird’s nest.
Still posted it
Note to self: If you eat buffet style here, pace yourself. Or end up rolling downhill straight into Lake Batur.
Kintamani — you’re cold, dramatic, photogenic, and you make my nasi goreng taste better.
10/10 lunch with a side of lava energy. 🌶️🌋

Mount Batur Stared Me Down While I Ate — Just Another Day in Kintamani
Started my day with Ubud’s peaceful vibes—rice terraces, temples, the whole spiritual package. Then my supir casually says, “Let’s go to Kintamani.” I thought we were just sightseeing… next thing I know, I’m having nasi campur with a volcano view! 😱🍽️🌋
Yes, friends. I had lunch with Mount Batur watching me chew like some majestic, smoky food critic in the background. The sambal? Spicy. The rice? Fluffy. The view? Out of control. I swear that mountain made the food taste 10x better. Or maybe I was just overwhelmed by the altitude and the spice level. Either way, zero regrets.
Note to self: Always trust your supir. He knows where the rice meets the skies. 🙌🏼😂

Mount Batur Experience 😛
Took a jeep up and then we had to hike up the remainder.
Had a great and memorable experience. Didn’t make it up all the way as I was too tired but the view is as nice!
Lovely guides and people ♥️✨
Try this! No regrets

Doing a hike to Mount Batur is definitely one of the most recommended activities to do in Bali, Indonesia. I was very excited about it as I read reviews that the views are amazing. I had to wake up at wee hours as the guide would pick me up at 2 am! Totally not regrets even though the way up to the view point was really steep and exhausting! The tiredness dissipated the moment when I managed to catch the sunrise 🌄 .

Catching Best Sunrise in Bali🌅
Bali is not all about beaches, snorkeling, tanning, and diving. It’s another side of bali that we can explore, it’s colder and greener there.
Welcome to Kintamani,
In Kintamani we can hike one of Bali’s volcanoes called Mount Batur. If you lucky enough, you will be witnessing one of the best sunrise in Bali.
In order to catch the sunrise, we need to woke up at 3am from my camp in Kintamani to drive around 30 mins to the parking spot and start our hike there. It was not an easy road also it’s freezing with the wind, but we manage to survived the 2 hours hike to the top of mount Batur.
While catching my breath, I can watch the sun slowly picking out and I swear it’s the best sunrise ever. Totally worth the hike.#Indonesia #Bali #Mountbaturbali #balitrip #mustvisitbali
