Avoiding tourists, take a walk around the area..
Sangke Grassland... Shahe.
Sangke Grassland is located within Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture's Xiahe County, and is one of the main agricultural areas of Shahe, with an average altitude of over 3000 meters. The grassland belongs to the plains and covers an area of about 70 square kilometers, with a small population and a vast area. There are only about 4,000 herders living here, and it is considered a natural tourist spot where you can take walks and enjoy the scenery. There are two Tibetan-style tent accommodations in the area, and from July to September each year, Tibetan specialties such as fresh milk tea, barley rice cakes, Tibetan bread, and dressed mutton are prepared. Additionally, there are grassland tourism programs such as horse riding, yak riding, archery, and bonfire parties. Here, travelers can experience the unique and mystical Tibetan culture.
Shangker Grassland Resort... Shahe.
Unlike what I saw on the internet, this grassland was a big surprise to me. It was beautiful and sparsely populated, with a landscape that looked like an oil painting. Cows were freely grazing, and the grassland looked like a soft carpet spread over the hills. It seemed like anywhere you took a picture, it could become a computer wallpaper. The transportation was convenient, and on the way, there was the colorful Gannan Loop. In August, many unknown wildflowers bloom in the grassland.
There is a resort where you can stay... The price seemed quite expensive, so I didn't stay overnight, but the desire to see the stars at night in the alpine grassland region was as strong as ever.
Sangke Grassland... Shahu.
The grassland is located near Labrang Monastery, and it is a place where the sky seems very close. When you step on the grassland, the green grass and flowers spread out abundantly, and the blue sky, clouds, flocks of sheep grazing leisurely, and the cries of black birds make everything poetic and splendid. Above the grassland, there are flocks of sheep flowing like clouds, and the figures of cows shine here and there. Sometimes, herdsmen stride by, riding horses and grazing freely. In the distance, mountains rise steeply, and occasionally eagles fly by, with their feathers sometimes falling. According to the Ando Catholic Church, the Tibetan hero Gesar King had his reminiscence here and offered sacrifices to the gods. The Sangko area covers an area of 1292.93 square kilometers, with the government located in Jihuangtang, which means 'small swamp of horses' in Tibetan. There are six village committees in the Sangko area. The grassland under the jurisdiction of the Sangko area is called the Sangke Grassland, and locally it is also known as 'Sanggedajutang'. This grassland belongs to the plain grassland, with an average altitude of over 3000 meters, and covers an area of about 70 square kilometers.
