Getting There - You can choose to take a taxi or now there are fast haramain trains available too. Attractions - Haram sharif, Holy Kaaba, Ziyarat to all the historic places such as where the Quran was revealed, where Hazrat Adam AS and Hawa AS met for the first time after coming down from Jannah, stories of why we have to sacrifice an animal (spot where the prophet Ibrahim AS was tested and ram came in its place), Safa Marwa etc. Hotels - so many hotels nearby, we stayed in double tree Hilton Jabal Omar. Excellent customer service and various breakfast options. Food & Restaurants - So many branches of Al Baik nearby, Al Tajaz, KFC, pizza shops and other cuisines such as Indian, Pakistani and Chinese. There are numerous stalls too and popular ice cream shops such as Baskin Robbins. Dessert shops such as Dunkin’ Doughnuts. To stand before it is to be reminded that no matter where we come from, how far we’ve wandered, or how heavy our sins may feel, Allah’s mercy is always greater. With every step taken around it, with every glance lifted toward it, the heart beats with renewed hope. It is a surreal feeling to know that this is the Qibla we have turned to in every prayer, from childhood till now, and here we are, face to face with it. You realize that you are part of something timeless - the same sacred ground where prophets walked, prayed, and called upon Allah. You are reminded that life is fleeting, but moments like these are eternal treasures for the soul. I carry this moment within me: a reminder that Allah is near, that His house is a refuge for the broken, a place for forgiveness, and a source of endless peace.
