Dong Hua Cave temple is one of the oldest Taoist temples in Ipoh Perak. The temple is located at the end corner of a small industrial area for car workshops and repair; this temple is another gem landmark in Ipoh. The temple is on the top of a limestone cave, divided into two temples. The first temple inside the cave is the place to pray to Budhist Monk Xuanzang. If you continue to walk up to the top, there is another big temple inside the cave for Taoist Praying. You need to open your shoes before entering the temple inside the cave. Visitor can make a prayer and donate. Both temples were covered by metal door and window due to many monkeys in this temple. You need to close and lock the door to avoid monkey come into the temple. Once you reach the too, you can view the beautiful scenery of Sunway and Ulu Kinta district. On the ground level next to this temple, there is a chamber for meditation. A worth visit to this temple. Sam Poh Tong temple is a Chinese temple, one of the oldest temples in Ipoh. The temple is unique, built surrounded by the limestone cave mountain. At the front of the temple, there is a large pond landscape with many fishes inside, and it's decorated with a mini version of the Zhangjiajie avatar cliff. Visitors can make wishes and pray by lighting the candles and joystick for a small fee. Another activity is feeding the turtles with tomatoes; the turtle's pond is located at the back of the temple by access through the cave tunnel. Here is also another temple standing beautifully surrounded by limestone caves. I wonder how this temple was built because it is surrounded by limestone. Open from 7 am to 2.30 pm. Chakori cafe is one of my favorite cafes in Ipoh. The ambiance is very nice; inside decor is pretty, very instragramable. One side is the window view of the market street, the other side is inside the cafe with an unfinished wall of ruined wall. The cafe's menu change regularly; have a special cake of the day, gelato of the day, and dessert of the day. Waffle, gelato and sorbet are also available here. On my last visit, I get a mango cake with passion fruit. This cafe also has salted caramel coffee, which is so interesting. The price is reasonable, I love the coffee here, and the staffs are friendly. Order and pay at the counter, open from 10 am to 11 pm. This cafe serves local Malays food located in Ipoh Oldtown. The cafe's ambiance is very nice; it is like an old house, with a big tree in the middle of the living room, all is nicely decorated. Some of their best seller are curry mee, laksa, roti kaya, roti goyang, and nasi lemak. Shaved ice always sold out too. The decor on the second floor is also attractive, with several traditional bird cages hanging on the ceiling. The services are good, the staffs there are very friendly, the food price and drinks are all reasonable price, average food price is RM10. Is a self-service, so you order, pay and collect at the counter. The menu is on the wall. WEIL hotel is a very comfy place for stay over. It’s just walking distance to Ipoh parade where it makes everything is so close to you!!! An amazing buffet breakfast was served here at affordable price. Cleanliness of the room is on point. I definitely must highlight the customer service by the hotel. It’s just top notch service.
