I did some research online, and based on both reviews and local buzz, Takara Teppanyaki appeared to be the best choice. When I got there, a queue had already started to form, and I ended up waiting about 20 minutes after placing my order for the food to arrive. Honestly, given the hype and crowd, I expected it to be a bit tastier. But for an unplanned dinner, it was still a pretty decent meal. I asked if single diner is welcomed🤣, and that's how it got me in, I went for their one-pax option—and wow! The portion size is impressive, with the same soup pot size and a generous 500g of clams. It’s incredibly satisfying, especially when I added extra ingredients to the mix. . For just RM25, I got a simple yet hearty single-person pot. For a Singaporean, that’s a steal—it’s basically food court prices back home, but with an entire pot of lala here in JB! . The soup itself is rich and wonderfully fragrant. But the real surprise? The “fire show” that comes with the meal! I didn’t expect it until some friendly aunties at the next table warned me to “run and escape from the table” when it starts.
